A jury has convicted Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes on four counts of fraud on their seventh day of deliberations. She was acquitted on another four, and a mistrial was declared on the remaining three counts.

Holmes was found guilty on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud against Theranos investors and three other counts of wire fraud against investors. She was acquitted on all four counts of wire fraud against patients. The jury deadlocked on three counts of fraud against investors.

There was clear mental problems from the deep voice to the turtle neck's and everythig else.

Looking at circuits and understanding them are two different things. She wanted the power and the glory of innovating like Steve Jobs but she didn't how to get mission accomplished.

The difference between her and Steve Jobs is that Steve Jobs was actually talented. You can be a visionary but your vision has to be somewhat informed by the technical folks. If you say in 1990 “I want an electric car that goes 0-60 in 2 seconds” your development staff will say “Not gonna happen BUT we can make one that does it in 8 seconds”. A competent leader at that point needs to figure out if it’s true that it can’t happen and then determine if they wait until the product is ready or release the 8 second model and keep releasing year over year until they get the car to where the original vision is.

Elizabeth’s dumbass came up with some idiotic idea and DID not listen to the technical folk. She told everyone she could do all these test with a finger prick and then white privilege came and caked her up. THEN SHE STILLLLLL didnt listen to the technical folks. She should have been trying to damage control from the onset. She should have been trying to pivot and come up with a stop gap solution while they worked on the MiniLab.

BUT there was one issue and I think she found it out after the first bit of investment. Theranos was facetiously telling everyone that they can make a naked human take off from the ground and fly with no equipment or anything. As far as our knowledge goes, the only person that can detect all those ailments from a prick of Blood is the lord himself so she was assed out no matter what.

This just shows the ridiculousness going on in Silicon Valley. I don’t think she flaunted her sexuality but I think it made the Men decided to lower their inhibitions. If it was a Brotha walking in there talking about he can do the test with a finger prick they would have had Sanjay Gupta in there vetting every single aspect of the Edison and Minilab. Wanting to look under the tables the devices We’re on…seeing all the books.

They had like 300k in revenue and was valued at a billion. Kinda shit is that?

That’s why I said the visionary HAS to listen to the tech people and that’s what Elizabeth did not do. Tech people always think the world revolves around them but it don’t. It revolves around business and the tech is an off shoot of the business.

That’s why Apple is so successful cuz it stop putting the basic brained tech people at the top and replaced them with the designers. Tech can be a function of aesthetic and not vice versa.

I was throwing shade at Job's skills. OK, Jobs was a great marketer and that alone is something special. But in the video I posted, he was trying to push complex font maps that just couldn't be done back then. Today we can laugh and just use UTF-8, 16, 32 and call it a day.
The whole point is that you cannot exceed the bounds in some technical areas because there isn't any room to do so. Some parts can be upgraded but others have to wait on a slew of innovations. In the video, Steve didn't understand that so he fired the dude for not being able to do the impossible (at that time).

…yeah we can point to times where we all did dumb crap. Overall he changed the game and showed what a PC could be and made the predominant crossover touch only mobile OS.

No. Look at mainstream computing….all the all in ones look like iMacs, the phones look like iPhones, the laptops look like Macs, look at how many people’s computing is done via an iOS device. The people today who never used A desktop. Apple helped usher in this era.

The most complicated adjective that I can think of is: mainstream. Metrics are taken from different areas to substantiate a position. Tortured numbers and diminishing principle data is how "mainstream" can be quantified. Mainstream server systems were never dominated by Mac or Windows, so which "mainstream" are we talking about.

Don't you mean Apple extended BSD's vision and ushered in a new era? Apple only started making Apple products from BSD (mostly). Why is it hard for you to give BSD its props? That is a mystery to me.

Let's look at their last major game changer, mobile computing. Windows CE and Palm never had the success of Apple and it's because Apple innovated in the space with a single repository for downloads, quality control, a desktop class browsing experience on a mobile device no more of that old WAP 3rd World country style internet, it was made for touch and much more responsive than any predecessor. Then they made that device bigger with the iPad which made it viable as the premier computing device.

Because of Apple, most computing is done from a mobile device. Also I can't buy BSD from Apple so I don't know why you're bringing that up.
