From day one of building computers for gaming the graphics card and cpu were always the main component's you wouldn't skimp on, over the years everything had to be up to standard as the games got more advanced. The graphics card is still the most bragged component in a build. These prices though... Are getting ridiculous,

Yup! I heard they have gone up another 10% or more. I know the one I have on my PC was $150 or so when I bought it and it is selling for over $500. Might be closer to $700 at this point. The chip shortage and issues with shipment and cargo are causing a lot of these prices to skyrocket.

Yeah it's insane. It's just going to get worse with all of the shortages too. It makes building a pc nearly impossible

from what I've heard, but I'm sure you can find them from other brands. everyone want the Nvidia Brand, I'd go for the MSI or Gigabyte ones.
I'm still on my 2080 super I'd love to upgrade but these prices are going to have to come down!
