I thought they were working on a new Friday movie for a while now, but I guess not? I loved the original Friday movie, but thought the sequels got worse and worse. Felt like they repeated a lot of the same steps with each of those movies.

Anyway, I still liked the first two films, but forget what happened in the others. There was 3 or 4 movies right? I forget.

I think it'd be fun to see a new Friday movie, with the original cast, well the ones that are still alive. Everything is getting a reboot, sequel, so why not Friday? We haven't had one in the series in a long time, and hollywood is all about rebooting classics. And Friday is a definite classic imo.

No. The cast is grown- senior citizen status. In terms of a reboot- What will the premise be? 50-60 year olds smoking weed and unemployed. That would be sad. 1/2 the cast from the original Friday is deceased. It had several sequels. No one can replace John Witherspoon or Bernie Mac. Everyone is an Insta-comedian these days getting paid off their own skits. I don’t see the Friday market being what it was without the original talent. Just leave Friday alone and let us cherish the memories. Anything else Would be disrespectful

This. The Friday ship has sailed and it's not coming back. There would be nothing redeeming about it and if they did do it they would have to make it a movie where the characters have matured which would make it a totally different movie. Just wait 10 years and they'll come out with a remake of the original with an all White cast.

Yeah true, it's not the same without them. But idk, I think if we at least got Ice Cube and Chris Tucker back, it might be an interesting film. Could be cool seeing these old timers comment about today's culture and all that. I bet they could make it work and be funny.

Idk, if done right I could see it working. Maybe it'd be with Ice Cube reprising his role, this time as a father himself. I'm sure they could come up with something. But, maybe it's time to let it go.

No chance that movie is ever remade with an all white cast. That film would be destroyed in the media.
