It's a given you are going to have some FBAs who make it a FBA vs Non FBA thing for themselves and try to shame FBAs into adopting that view instead of it being an On Code vs Off Code.
No matter your lineage, reparations for FBAs in America is being on code. Similarly, if you are FBA and say you don't give a f*ck if Caricom (the group wanting reparations for Caribbean) or former African colonies gets reparations is off code. You'd be a hypocrite if you expect / demand non FBAs be for reparations for FBAs in America and don't for your 'cousins' elsewhere.
That said, I don't trip on such folks. I've heard TBA and Tariq give props to non FBA ridaz so if someone thinks that way they are off code. End of story. I build with whomever is on code. If you are not, do you, but I ask don't get in my way or we will have issues.
In a movement this big there will always differing opinions. Marcus Garvey and WEB DuBois both wanted Black empowerment and WEB DuBois early worked hard to discredit Garvey.
Malcolm X and MLK Jr both wanted black empowerment and at least early on Malcolm spoke openly against the Civil Rights movement. Specifically, on the strategy up to including it changing to integration. Both are iconic to us today.
This will be the same. TBA, Tariq are against pan Africanism in its present, unilateral way and Dr. Umar is still a huge proponent of it and BOTH camps want Black empowerment.
Same with the "I can't f*ck with ANY non FBA' mindset. It is what it is. It's not endorsed by anyone with any platform of size. That's something FBAs gotta manage internally.
I will say this though as supposition. I assume such peoples didn't grow up with or around or befriend many non FBAs. If you are an FBA grew up in NYC I would find it shocking if you didn't have any ride or die non FBA homies. And I'll even include some Puerto Ricans as well. I grew up around some Puerto Ricans that would take a bullet for me or put one in the back of the head of someone for me. When I was in Cali I had a few Mexican and Salvadorean ridaz as well.
I've always said this. There are individual people from a group who can be ridaz. But generally speaking as a collective, the vast majority are anti-Black. It can be a very fair statement to say 'most' take your pick: Nigerians, Barbabans, etc. are not ridaz but the whole group? Sorry, that's someone who has some other agenda. I'm gonna go >>>there<<< there are some people who gotta sh*t on other people no matter if its not warranted to feel good about themselves. It's the 'bully' mentality. Yeah, I said it. White supremacists recruit a lot of white boys who feel they don't belong. Many are the awkward, not popular white boy and white supremacy offers them a 'family' who seemingly accepts them for who they are. A lot of brothers from broken homes, join a gang because they 'accept them for who they are'.
This movement may get a few of those FBA types. I'm NOT saying this is anyone on here as much as it may sound like it but its going to happen. There are just too many people, for it not to be from some members. And it won't matter how much of a rida the non FBA is and how many receipts he has. Some are just not gonna accept anyone else and it is what is.
I won't be upset about it or trip. All I can control is me and my actions and I know if I do that and I stay 10 toes down. ALL ON CODE Black folks will accept me and build and fight with me and at the end of the day, for me, that's all I give a f*ck about. The rest FBA or non FBA who think otherwise can...lol..easy RCNAL....okay, they can do them.
I know my plane circled the airport for a minute but I landed...finally.
