Growing up, my parents weren't too strict. My dad was a constant yeller at us kids, but we were assholes growing up, always getting into trouble and causing shit. But my parents were always there for me and taught me a lot about respect and life in general. But there has been days in my past where my dad was pissed at me. And you know that feeling, seeing your dad mad, but also seeing the disappointment in his eyes.
Anyway, I had a fairly good childhood. It wasn't perfect, but my parents made do with what they had. I honestly couldn't complain. My mom was a bit more strict about the food I ate, cleaning my room, general things. I didn't cause them too many issues, but when I did, damn did they come down on me good.
I knew a few kids in my neighborhood who had really strict parents. Some racist strict, like they wouldn't let their kids hang out with the black kids in the neighborhood, but joke was on her as they always hung out with us anyway. What were your parents like? Strict? Relaxed? A mix of both?
