I can't say I have "met" anyone famous. I did see Martin Lawrence in an airport once. I said hi to him from a distance and he waved. That was about it. lol I don't get out enough to hot spots where it is common to see famous people. A friend of mine met loads of people down in Vegas.

I met James Brown in 1969. That was my first concert. I was 12 years old & my cousin did my hair, makeup & clothes, making me look older. She was also friend's with a guy that made fake ID'S.
I was also 12 when I met Sly & the Family Stone. The band's parents lived across the street from my Aunt & Uncle in S.F.'s Ingleside District. Whenever they returned from being on the road, they gave block parties & the entire community would "party hardy". All the females prepared food/drink & all the men set up speakers, amplifiers, microphones, instruments, etc.
Met The Jackson's at a autograph signing at JAX RECORDS in the Haight/Ashbury District, S.F. They signed my album inside cover. Identical picture inside, just their signatures above their Afros. That day was tragic. The crowd became a stampeed & my best friend was beheaded from the force of the crowd against the glass window. This was 1976 or 1977. Saw them one last time at the Cow Palace & Michael was attacked by love-crazed females. Pulling his hair & clothing. The Jackson's never returned to San Francisco after that. This was 1994.
Met EWF, Parliament Funkadelic, Tower of Power (f/Lenny Williams) & AWB at the Winterland Arena. This event was called "The Magic Show" I won 2 front row seats & 2 backstage passes from a S.F. radio station called KSOL. This was between 1972-1975. I went to Polytechnic High School then, right across the street from Kezar Stadium. The Mothership Connection by Parliament Funkadelic, just had dropped & their magic consisted of motherships flying around the arena, George Clinton stepping out of a mothership & giant inflatable platform boots towering above the crowd! That concert started at noon & ended 8 hours later.
EWF flaunted their amazing & awesome Egyptian attires & magically making objects appear & disappear, while singing & dancing to ALL our beloved songs.
Tower of Power's magic was in their voices, instruments, attire & passion.
AWB (Average White Band) magically blew everyone's mind. We didn't know the meaning of AWB until much later & there was no physical evidence of their origin. They sounded black, so we left it at that. The entire audience was confused, when they came onto the stage! Then, 🎶SCHOOL BOY CRUSH🎶 was performed, end of confusion. Ayyyyeeeee! 🤣
I've a few more stars, but at this rate, y'all may become uninterested, because of the length. So, here we go:
Rufus f/Chaka Khan, Circle Star Theater. San Carlos, CA. 1993. Chaka was high as a kite. Fell as soon as she stepped onto the rotating stage. Got herself together, came back & blew the roof off the motha sucka.
Bill Cosby did a live comedy album/show also at the Circle Star, 1972 I believe. He later joined Sidney Poitier filming 3 of the funniest movies I've seen in awhile. I mentioned them in my earlier post, regarding Sydney's passing.
Teddy Pendergrass was also at the Circle star. This was his solo career, soon after leaving Harold Melvin & the Bluenotes f/Sharon Page. He through us front row ladies roses & some females through Teddy their underwear. This was 1979. I went to lots of concerts from 1969-2015. Stone Soul Concert Series I frequented every year through KBLX, another S.F. radio station. My favorite D.J. was Kevin Brown. Hope y'all enjoy & use your imaginations to visualize what I saw, experienced & love. 🎶I LOVE MUSIC🎶 by The O'Jays. ❤

I was in Southern California and movie stars are all over the place. I probably walked past a few that I didn't recognize:

I believe I stated in another thread but:
I went to high school with Tank
Saw Jasmine Guy at a gas station
    Madonna at LAX
Danny De Vito in Las Vegas
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Stallone in Planet Hollywood
Vivica A. Fox in Dallas airport
Stevie Nicks caught me looking at her feet while at her home in Arizona.
Dominique Wilkins in 1993 in Washington DC
Had backstage passes to a Sade concert and she was sitting on her feet in a big plush chair while her shoes were on the floor.
    Leon Lett in San Antonio
    Jimmy Swaggart in Anchorage, Alaska
Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff in Anchorage, Alaska - R.I.P.
Trent Reznor in Austin, Texas 1995
Lizz Wright - I wanted to marry this woman
Matthew McConaughey buying Coors Light at a gas station
Sandra Bullock at her court appearance.

Go to New York or Southern Cali and you will run into a lot of them.

I use to share a flat with a guy (Daveed Diggs) who ended up being in Hamilton back when I lived in Oakland. He's like a C-lister. Not famous, but definitely making good money. He's been getting them Disney checks. other than that, met Patrice O'Neal and J.B. Smoove back when I was an open mic comic. J.B. Smoove got off stage at the punchline, and I guess I had a funny smirk, cuz he came over and looked at me. Then we both busted out laughing and dapped each other up. And that was the extent of the interaction. first time i visited New York (spring of 2000), drove into town and sat in 3 hour traffic, hit manhattan, and in the next car over was Leonardo Dicaprio, poppin ang locking in a land Rover. I couldn't believe that it was him, but realized later, that this was typical New York experience. Met Hannibal Burriss before he got famous at UCB theatre in Manhattan. (Pre-Cosby) and ran into a few celebs just on the street, Dennis Rodman in Dallas, and Cornel West in Manhattan. Used to kick it with UC Berkeley and UT-Austin hoopers when I lived in Oakland and Austin--Jamaal Wilkes' sons probably the most notable. But as far as knowiing knowing someone, probably Daveed.
