I'd say that the new wave of feminism is being exploited, which is ironic for two reasons: one being that feminism was about equality and that many of these artists preaching this are in relationships (Meg, Cardi who perpetually gets cheated on but refuses to leave, and others I can't think of).Another theory I got is that dysfunction tends to sell, a two family home ain't gonna hit on Billboard like "I don't need no man".
