It's a cruel, sick joke that helps "fulfill" their quota when you think about it. Why help a poor, struggling Black person facing real incomparable disadvantages and oppression when you can instead help people such as a crazy rich Asian, a poor white from an "underserved rural community" that still has white privilege, a well-to-do white LGBTQ / non-binary person, a Latino from a "Black and Brown" underserved low-income community, a dreamer illegal alien and Ukrainian refugees, and a white woman who "has a lot to contribute" and can relate to other people who struggle?Diversity is not a code for anti-white.
