Winter Gardens
We did not plant a winter garden this year.
But we will definitely be doing so next year. In the next couple weeks we will be building a few cold frame boxes for our future winter gardens. We live in zone 5 so our outdoor growing season is shorter than short.

I didn't start one either. But I'm gonna try to squeeze one in as an experiment at this point. I'm in Zone 8 and my garden gets an insane amount of sunlight.

In zone 8 you should definitely be able to get a little something started! Our house is south facing and because we are in a mountain valley we still get a bunch of sun during the winter. I was thinking the cold frame boxes should help create enough warmth for me to try to grow some greens and carrots.
I wanted too, but we rent this house. When I first looked at this place, I thought floral business in the frontyard & produce business in the backyard, but this isn't ours & I'm hoping our dream home has this much front & backyard.We did not plant a winter garden this year.

Hopefully, we'll start our food business this summer. Last year & this year have been rough for us.
The garden I had tanked so bad it put me off gardening for the time being. I had considered doing an indoor garden though over the winter. Just have to figure out what can be grown indoors and the best set up for it. I'll make a thread of it. I don't know if any of ya'll do indoor gardens or not but I am hella interested in it!
