So someone in my family was on Facebook or Meta.. whatever tf it is, saying how bad Biden is doing. Pointing out how bad the economy is, how bad the cities have become, and how life in America as a black person, especially a black man, has been made worse because of the crap he is doing. That is the short of it. So a bunch of white Biden supporters hopped into the comments and started calling him a Trump supporter when he didn't even vote for the dude just because he was criticizing Biden. One even called him, a black man, a white supremacist!

Like really? If we don't support Biden and all his nonsense, we automatically support Trump? How mindless are people online?

The lack of critical thinking skills and hivemind activity on social platforms makes me so glad I stopped using them. How can you even function in this kind of mindset? So glad there are forums like this one still kicking. We need to get back to having more forum spaces and get tf away from places like Facebook and Twitter.

The “$70,000 CEO” Dan Price’s abrupt resignation from the helm of Gravity Payments this week came as he faced a new allegation of purportedly raping a woman, according to a bombshell report.

Price, who made international headlines after he slashed his own pay to $70,000 while raising minimum wage at the company, resigned as CEO this week amid reports that he had grabbed a 26-year-old woman by the throat after she rejected his advances.

But Price’s resignation came shortly after he was contacted for a response to a rape allegation, according to a report late Thursday.

Police in Palm Springs, California, have recommended that Price face a charge of rape of a drugged victim. The executive has not yet been charged in connection to the alleged incident.

Kacie Margis, a model and artist, told the New York Times she and Price were dating for about three months when the alleged rape occurred during a trip to Palm Springs. Price allegedly booted Margis out of their hotel room for hours so that he could take a phone call, despite the fact that she was only wearing a bikini and a cover-up.

This is a self-proclaimed male feminist who was getting praised for upping everyone's salary in the company to 70k per year while lowering his to 70k. What people don't realize is that he was getting even MORE money doing this because profits are taxed way less than salary so him going from 900k a year down to 70k a year was a selfish act in and of itself.

I am not surprised he was out there using his CEO position to prey on women. He just looks like the type to do it.

I've been starting to build a vinyl collection of music instead of buying CDs or even digital these days. I think record players put out the best overall sound, it catches everything and really sounds better imo. CDs are fine, but they degrade faster because of disc rot, which is one thing to consider. Digital music is fine, but I think the sound of a record far exceeds what most other options out there.

I think cassettes sound decent as well. And they're easier to store and collect than vinyl, but vinyl still wins out for me. What about you? What do you prefer?

Have you guys heard of Andrew Tate? I believe he's a retired boxer who now takes up political commentary. He's been blowing up because of his takes on tiktok about women. He's one of those guys who says dumb shit like "Women can't drive, I won't get in a car with them." Or, "Women bear responsibility for sexual assault". He's also said other things about how women are lazy and that he should be able to have authority over a women he's dating. Dumb things like that.

He was also investigated for human trafficking/sex trafficking I believe. I don't know what came of that, but I heard rumors that he ran a cam house for cam girls, which is probably what that was.

He has since been banned on TikTok and Meta (facebook).

Interesting to see Queen Latifah doing more action oriented movies. I know she has her show the Equalizer that's been doing well from what I hear, though I never could get into it. Anyway, it's about a mother, her kids, and her brother taking a road trip and decide to take get a room at a hotel. While there they hear something go down in the next room over, and find a bag full of drug money.

It looks like a paint by numbers thriller, but I'm tempted to check it out. Looks like it drops in September.

The NFL preseason has recently just begun, I believe we're on week two. There should be one more game on the preseason schedule before the official start of the season. Do you pay attention to the preseason football? I don't usually check it out that much. I know it's a good way to see what changes they have made, the rookies and the new signees, but I can't be bothered to watch it anymore. I usually skip the preseason and wait for the regular season to begin.
