Just a story!!!

Not sure what will happen with the economy as of now. I just try to learn from my own life experiences.
Back in 2012/13 I had a pretty decent job. The only thing that sucked about it was it was a federal government contract position. The benefits weren't great but the pay was good. The thing is contract positions are very unstable. They may lose the contract and lay everyone off with little to no notice.

I ended up in a situation where the company was being real hush as to whether their contract got renewed or not. We were all beginning to assume that they had lost out on the contract. Once a new company came in it would be up in the air as to whether they hired us back and how many and which people would be hired back.

I didn't want to wait around and leave things to chance. So I started looking for another job. Back then I was a new nurse and didn't have much experience so landing another job wasn't a guarantee. Luckily I found something. It resulted in a pretty severe pay cut but I would have a job. It had better benefits too. Catch was those benefits were coming out of a much smaller check.

I ended up so in debt that I was on the verge of losing our home. I was having to get loans to pay on loans. I was at my wits end and was very unsure how I was going to get out of this hole. I was applying for better jobs but nothing was panning out. I wasn't getting any calls back. I was pretty much about 2 to 3 months from everything just falling apart. My credit was being ruined.

I kept on putting in applications though. I wasn't about to give up. I got a few offers from some local hospitals but based on my experience nothing that paid as high as I was making before. I was able to negotiate and get a bid of a bidding war started between 2 of them and they went a bit higher.

One night I was just sitting in my bedroom stressed as could be. I just felt beat. My wife came in and suggested I look online a bit more. She said worrying isn't going to fix anything and to helped me to look around online. I was searching the federal jobs website. She noticed I was only looking locally. She said why aren't you searching all of Texas instead of just here.

She was right. I was limiting my search to just local jobs when our situation would have us move if that would put us in a better situation.

I expanded the search. I ended up applying for a position out of town. They had also just posted a local position on base and I applied there also. Low and behold I ended up getting call backs and interviews for both. They both paid pretty well and had very good benefits as they were federal government jobs. The one out of town was the best offer though. It paid more and came with a very hefty sign on bonus.

I ended up getting conditional offers from both. I wasn't sure how long the hiring process would be though. The one that was out of town was expected to have a very lengthy hiring process. I ended up going to work at the local one. I hadn't been there two weeks when the out of town position called and said they were ready for me to start and with a $12k up front sign on bonus.

My oldest daughter was almost finished with school. She had 1 month left. So I told my wife to stay behind and I would go out and get things set up. I contacted an apartment complex near the facility I would be working at and paid a deposit. I packed a few items and took one of our cars and headed out.

When I got there there was a mix up and they had rented out the apartment I made the deposit on. Another apartment wasn't available until the end of the week. I had just enough money to make it and keep myself and my wife and kids afloat until the bonus came in and was not sure what to do now. I spun my wheels. I talked to the apartment complex staff and asked if they were sure that they would have the apartment ready. They gave me written guarantee that the apartment would be ready.

I pawned a 9mm gun I had for enough money to get a motel room for a week. I stayed there for the week and at the end of the week the apartment was ready. I got paid that same day. It was my first and only check from the local job. It was a decent amount. I paid the first months rent which was prorated.

After that I laid low. I had another 2 weeks until my first check would come in from the new job. Finally that day came and the bonus was included with the check. Of course tax had to come out of it but I still ended up pocketing a very large amount. I was able to pay off all our debts, pay the mortgage on our house, got my 9mm back from pawn and furnish the apartment.

About a week I went back over the weekend and picked up my wife and daughters and they came out. We decided to keep our house as we knew we would eventually like to go back to our home town. I was able to get a lot of overtime at the new job so I was able to afford to pay rent there and keep my mortgage paid back home. The mortgage was wasn't very high because I was just paying on a single wide mobile home. The work schedule there came to 15 days on shift and 15 days off shift. All I had to do was work 2 of my days off and that would take care of the mortgage.

Somehow miraculously things had worked out! I worked my way from that to getting a job back in home. I ended up selling the single-wide mobile home and upgraded to a double-wide. I ended up selling it and got a house in the city. Over the next few years I kept moving around and accepting every job transfer I could, each with a pay increase.

Since I was a federal government employee now my employment was much more stable. Even if you get laid off for any reason you get first pick for any federal job you applied for. Basically you were guaranteed a job at the same or higher pay in the event you get displaced. I networked and found some part time nursing gigs on the side also. I have pretty much always kept at least 1 part time job every since. Not only do I make more money but it serves as insurance in case of displacement which isn't likely or government shutdowns. Although my agency generally isn't affected by shutdowns, it's better safe than sorry.

Multiple companies are laying off workers!

Our economy is doing so great, businesses went from not being able to hire enough staff to laying people off!

Companies like Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Peloton, Google, Microsoft, Snap, TikTok, Buzzfeed, Groupon, and MORE!

The media keeps saying "Biden's economy is strong!" and "We have the best economy in recent years!" but the writing is all over the wall for anyone paying attention. Inflation is still over 8%, gas prices are still too damn high, we have food shortages all over and are expected to see them get worse going into the fall and winter, people are being laid off, the housing market is drying up, interest rates keep going up... SURE! BEST ECONOMY EVER!

Do they think we are stupid!?

Teddy Ray has sadly passed away at age 32. Teddy Ray was an American comedian, internet personality, and actor who was best known for appearing on Russell Simmons’ comedy platform, All Def Digital and was one of the new cast members on Season 8 of Wild ‘N Out on MTV. Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of Teddy.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Teddy Ray is one of the hottest and upcoming stand-up comedians in Los Angeles and is considered by many to be an upcoming legend. In his first two years as a comedian, Teddy Ray broke enough stages to get his first TV booking on BET’s Comic View. He went on to make a name for himself through Russell Simmons’ All Def Digital, and not only was he a fan favorite, but his content helped the channel’s now 1.5 million YouTube subscribers. He recently joined the cast of MTV’s Wild ‘N Out Season 8 in a continued effort to be a comedy powerhouse, while he joins his best friend and co-star DoBoy, who has been on the show since Season 4. In just 6 years, Teddy has built a cult following on the internet and continues to make waves in the industry. For this LA West kid who just wanted a little joke, the sky was the limit.

He also starred with co-star DoBoy in a web series titled Teddy Ray & DoBoy: Blowin’ Up, which also airs on All Def Digital’s YouTube channel. He also appeared on ComicView. He is the second person on All Def Digital to be cast on the show, the first being his other co-star Doboy, who joined the show in season 5. He appeared in 2 episodes of season 8.

How has white supremacy changed you?

Being Black in Amerika isn't easy by any means, having to deal with white supremacists day in, and day out can have an effect on you. I find myself not giving a shit about things I usually did. I feel bad sometimes, but mostly not. here's an example. If I hear a story about a missing kid, an abused kid, or even one killed by accident or on purpose, I always try to find out if the kid was Black or not.
If it's a non-Black kid (or adult) I tend not to give a damn.
I tell myself "they were probably racist anyhow" or if its a kid I think "he would've grown up to be a racist anyhow"
30 years ago I never thought like this, I honestly believe the effects of having to live in a world with these people are eroding my humanity.
do you notice anything like this with yourself?

Montez Ford deserves a push (WWE)

The Street Profits for me, have become one of the best tag teams in the WWE, even though the tag division has been quite lacking as of late, they have been rocking it. But, they've been kinda teasing breaking the team up, and I think it'll result in a much needed push for Montez Ford. He has become a standout in the WWE, for the way he sells, and how good in the ring he is overall. I have not seen anyone with this much energy & charisma in a long time. On top of that, he's also great on the mic. Plus he's got one of the best frog splashes in the game.

Seriously put a title on this guy already.

Following the college realignment happening?

Are any of you aware that college sports are going through a realignment? In that schools are peacing out of their conferences to jump to better ones. For example, the SEC and Big 10 are picking up teams like crazy, and it's leaving other conferences scrambling to fill up spots.

Pac-12 and the Big 12 are at each other's throats as well, as each side is trying to take from each other. It mostly stems from tv deals and money of course, but it's been a weird time in college sports. Are you worried your favorite teams are going to head to a different conference? Have any of your favorite teams moved to another conference?

Discuss your thoughts.

Lawsuit on Kobe Bryant crash photos

Did you guys hear about this a while back? When Kobe and his daughter died in that helicopter crash, it was said that the firefighters or police shared photos of the crash, including their bodies. Witnesses have said that the fire captain was bragging about having photos and even showed them off during an awards show. Vanessa Bryant is suing to stop these photos of ever releasing.

The sad truth is, I could see police and first responders snapping pictures. It's messed up, and I hope Vanessa wins this case and I hope the people who took these pictures, face jail time for what they did.

Day Shift - Jamie Foxx is a Vampire Hunter

There's a new Jamie Foxx movie that just came out today on Netflix. I like Jamie Foxx, but his last couple films haven't been that great, at least imo. But, I like that he's trying to star in different types of movies these days. So maybe he's in his experimenting stage.

In Day Shift, Jamie Foxx get paid hunting vampires, but pretends to be a pool cleaner as a front to hunt vamps. I'm not too into the vampire genre of horror movies myself, but this one looks like some dumb fun, and if it's made by the people who made John Wick, it should be pretty decent. You can find the trailer below.

We will no longer allow others to come into our culture and take it over and be able to get rich. We have closed the door to the glummers who glum off of us. It is over, it is done and it is gone. We and only we will be able to live off our own culture and make money. Kick all others out.

Are we in a recession?

Everything has been going up as of late due to inflation. Food has gone up, gas prices are going up and down and it doesn't look like it's going to change soon.

Was this inflation due to the stimulus checks we got a while back? And everyone out there collecting pandemic unemployment during that time? I've found it a bit tough with everything going up in price.

With that being said, has this resulted in another recession? I don't know a whole lot on how recessions start, but I'm curious about them and whether or not we're in one currently.

How I Came to Love the New Black Media

nbm.jpg

By Bmick#8

I can still vividly recall that lonely bike ride home the night of the 2012 election. I did my best to stay away from the television and the internet–anything to avoid the election results. I knew it didn’t matter who won, but despite Obama and I sharing the same skin color, I just couldn’t be happy for him if he won another term as the President of the United States. At the time it seemed like I was the only person, Black or white, who was dissatisfied with his presidency. Any time I brought up (what seemed to me) his shortcomings, I was called ungrateful, misguided, and by some Blacks; even a sellout.

Obama failed to do anything substantive in response to Trayvon Martin’s murder and for the next 2 years, Blacks were increasingly attacked and killed at a pace we had not seen since the 1960’s. For years I thought I was alone, but I was mistaken. As I became more politically astute, I found there were rallying points on the internet for people who felt like me; that these incidents weren’t as isolated as they seemed.

It wasn’t until I found the New Black Media that I found the lexicon to explain the things I had been feeling about society, but didn’t have a way to articulate them. It wasn’t until I discovered the New Black Media that I finally started understanding that these white supremacists weren’t just a bunch of random derelicts from a society once removed, they were in fact, part of a system working against me and other Blacks. Talking heads like Mark Lamont Hill, Michael Eric Dyson, Angela Rye, and Breakfast Club seemed more about espousing Black celebrity and not Black empowerment. The few racial injustices they did address were always obvious, but they were mostly lamentations; and rarely did they help to offer solutions to the problems our people are facing.

Once I discovered the New Black Media, all that changed. I learned about scholars like Dr. Claud Anderson, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, Neely Fuller Jr. and John Henrik Clarke. I learned that there was a racial hierarchy that needed to be upset before we could have any real power. But most importantly, I learned how to be on code with other Black people. But that is just scratching the surface. Understanding everything we are fighting against took a lot of examination and reflection.

Here are the 3 biggest keys from my experiences to understanding how to be on code and why it is important to be on code with other Blacks.

White Supremacy is a System and it is Global

It took me a while to figure this out. History books and mainstream media like to pretend that racism only happened in the southern United States and everywhere else was a beacon of tolerance. Although I should’ve known better, I mistakenly believed this to be true, and gave every white person the benefit of the doubt because I wanted to believe that there were “good white people” out there, and that the majority of bigots were relics from a different, less tolerant America.

When I left home for college I did some traveling abroad and domestically. I lived in “progressive” cities like Portland, Austin, Oakland and in various instances, what I found was no different from the southern cities I grew up in. The interpersonal encounters with these west coast whites may have been less blatantly racist, but the hostility was simply administered differently. In cities like these, Blacks were at best, merely tolerated, and at worst, discriminated against or ignored altogether. Even the “cool” whites approached their interactions with Blacks from a standpoint of voyeurism and satire. Once I started going to other countries, I quickly realized that Blacks and Africans weren’t treated much better abroad. Imagine my shock when I found out that Blacks were completely wiped out of (now) all white enclaves such as Australia and Argentina. I used to think I could run to some other place like Canada or Spain (don’t laugh) or–even worse— “back to the motherland.”

Black People, We Are All We Got

I used to be a champion for the underdog, no matter the circumstance, or ethnic background, injustice towards others never sat right with me. If there was a cause to fight for, you could count me in: climate control, discrimination against other “minorities”, wage gaps, sexism in the work place, etc. It didn’t hit me until after Trump was elected, that all the fervor and support that I brought to the table to help other groups was not even close to being reciprocated towards my own people. The same people cheering for DACA being upheld were nowhere to be found until the George Floyd footage hit the public eye. Until then, every hashtag of a Black life taken was met with mostly silence and occasional sympathetic word or two. Even so called allies will call out the police, but in the next breath, push for better training and police reform. Most of my life, I thought that it was all non-whites vs whites on the chessboard. I didn’t realize until it was much too late, that most non-whites align their sympathies with whites, and even some Blacks (American and foreign) have chosen the side of the oppressor as well. It was clear that the “Black And Brown” coalition was merely another misdirection tactic pushed onto American Blacks, convincing us that we all had the same struggles. To quote John Henrik Clarke, “we have no allies. If you want a friend, then look in the mirror.

Stay Ready, and You Don’t Have to Get Ready

Being ready is indeed, being on code. One way to minimize your chances of conflict is to minimize contact. This extends to both Blacks and non-Blacks. I learned from Neely Fuller Jr. that the best way to avoid conflict is to minimize hanging out, socializing, and partying as much as possible. If one does engage in social behaviors, the key is to make sure it is in a constructive setting because being constructive is just one other way of staying on code. Growing up in high school and college, I got a little too comfortable hanging out too late with different groups of people. Some of these instances led to having to interact with police. I somehow never managed to get hurt or worse, but looking back on those times, I can see how I put myself in harm’s way simply by being out late; often in an inebriated state. Not paying attention to my surroundings, and being socially unaware could’ve easily led to my peril. White Supremacists love soft targets and anytime you leave the house without a weapon, or not dressed for the possibility of combat, you are a soft target, and as a result, off-code. These past 5 years, I have learned the importance of holding heat, staying aware and staying sober.

Now that I’m in tune with the New Black Media, I’m not only caught up, I’m also ahead of the general public who rely on mainstream media. It’s one thing to stay abreast of current events, but it’s another thing entirely to know and understand what is coming down the pipeline. The new black media does a great job of accurately predicting what’s down the road and how Blacks (in particular) should prepare for it. Being prepared is not just a good Scout’s motto, it is just another way to stay on code. Because again, if you stay ready, then you don’t have to get ready. Stay safe, and be dangerous.

Has anyone watched these videos on YouTube? They pair two people together to see if they would be a match, but each video I have watched just results in people pushing the button right away at any sign of losing interest.

I don't see how this would result in meeting potential partners, but it's a thing I guess. I would never go on a show like this though. Would you?

Rage Erupts at Funeral for Black Woman Who Died After Falling Out of Moving Cop Car

Another depressing story involving cops killing an innocent black woman. This time around it just seems like neglect for a human being. According to this story, she had a mental health episode, where cops were needed to help. I guess the cops intended to bring her to a psych ward to help her. Somehow she ended up falling out of a moving police car, which resulted in her death.

The police claimed that Grier kicked the door open, but that doesn't seem likely considering she weighed 110 pounds. It came back later that the door was not secured and she was not buckled into the seat. Police in turn look to be at fault here.

Police lying as usual of course.

3 Amazon workers died on the job in N.J. over past month, OSHA says

I know some people who have worked at Amazon warehouses and they always say Amazon is not a great place to work for. And it looks like it may be the case in New Jersey as 3 workers ended up dying on the job over the past month alone. There's no details on how any of these workers died, but it makes you wonder.

Two of the deaths occurred in the same warehouse, while another happened elsewhere.

Has anyone here worked for Amazon in any capacity? What about working in their warehouses? The people I know who also worked at Amazon, never stuck around for too long there. With Amazon, I guess they really stretch you thin, so it is a lot of work. I don't think I'd ever work at an Amazon warehouse myself.

The Flash movie in jeopardy now?

Have you been hearing the news recently about Warner Bros and Discovery pretty much cancelling everything as of late? HBO Max has lost a lot of programs, the new Batgirl film was finished, and is now scrapped and not coming out, some programming is being removed outright from HBO Max, and now there's word that the DC side will be getting a reboot to everything. Which means plans for future movies are in jeopardy.

So far The Flash movie hasn't been cancelled, as it's so far still on to release. But the star, Ezra Miller has been getting some heat due to his weird actions. I heard he attacked a woman, broke in and stole from someone's house, and has been acting weird all over the place. Some of the stuff I heard were just rumors, but the dudes behaviour is making it hard for WB and all them to release it.

I have a feeling they aren't going to end up releasing it. I also heard that in order for this movie to release, Ezra may have to an interview explaining his behaviour.

You can read more about the Ezra Miller situation here - Warner Bros. Weighing Fate of ‘The Flash’ as Its Ezra Miller Problem Grows

My guess is that this movie won't release. And I'm fine with that, though I did want to see Michael Keaton back as Batman.

Will Call of Duty still release for PlayStation?

With Microsoft buying up Activision recently, it made me wonder what the future of COD will be. I heard rumors of them taking a year off in 2023, and that could still happen. Their is still a game expected to drop this year, which I believe is a sequel to Modern Warfare, so could be good, or could be shit, we'll see.

I think people are worried that MS will keep their grubby hands on the franchise and won't allow it to drop on the PS4/PS5 for example. But I guess MS says that'd be crazy as it wouldn't be profitable to keep it exclusive, at least according to the article below:

But this is also MS we're talking about, they like to change their minds often. What do you think will happen? Will MS honor their words and release it multiplatform? Or will it be exclusive to Xbox going forward?

Grand jury declines to indict Carolyn Bryant Donham, the woman whose accusations led to the murder of Emmett Till

Carolyn Bryant lied on Emmett Till and got him gruesomely and barbarically murdered to the point where his face was deliberately disfigured. Carolyn Bryant Donham is the prototype of the modern day Karen. Emmett Till was horrifically murdered on August 28, 1955.

Let me remind you of the unspeakable atrocity that Carolyn Bryant caused Emmett and his family:

DpoqdOj.jpg

uHNNKKv.jpg

He was only 14 years old.

Here's a picture of Carolyn Bryant and the other racist barbaric murderers celebrating the gruesome lynching of Emmett Till afterwards on good ole Friday night. Remorse where?

I see no tears. Only soullessness.

B5ttUCu.jpg

Get over what?! There is no statute of limitations for murder. There is no valid excuse to not take Carolyn Bryant in custody and convict her of her crime against humanity no matter what they claim at this point. Looks like people will need to pull up and have 2020 style protests to get any justice in this evil racist country. This isn’t a grand jury. This is grand injustice.

Also, these racist blue demons and their soulless pals love to fine, penalize, railroad, and arrest Black people and they will even go as far as to pull up (or fabricate) old warrants or "unresolved" matters and violations to do so if they don't make up violations and plant "evidence" on the spot. It's never "too late" or "too long ago" to arrest and convict Black people. Not even rich Black people like Bill Cosby. Heck, they are still finding and arresting Nazi soldiers and anyone who aided in the Holocaust in any way, shape, or form. So what's the problem now?! It sounds like that white privilege card is working just fine right now in the system of white supremacy and anti-Blackness.

These officials and politicians have all the power yet always claim to be so "powerless" to do anything. Notice the only time that they and their Black skinned bootlicks like Fani Willis, Alvin Braggs, and Eric Adams claim to have white power is when they are proudly and outwardly putting Black people in our place and exercising power over us? What's the point of voting them in? They are useless to society and only useful to their corrupt and evil paymasters while claiming they "they tried" and are "trying" to do things and get things done.

This grand jury that declined to go after Carolyn Bryant also needs to be looked at because this is the same BS stunt that Attorney General Daniel Cameron from Kentucky was trying to pull off as he was pressuring the jury to help sabotage, throw out, cover up, and corrupt the case of Breonna Taylor and her murder. They are protecting this lying, murderous, POS racist Carolyn Bryant just as much now as they were in 1955 prior to the Civil Rights Movement. What has changed again between 1955 and 2022 except the year? What does that say about the Civil Rights Movement and the intangible "changes" like integration with and sexual access to the oppressor class, Affirmative Action that white women and Asians and LGBT overwhelmingly benefit from, and the continued oppression and benign neglect of Black people (especially Foundational Black Americans) that happened afterwards? There is so much anti-Black and traitorous corruption in our government and society that this system cannot go on any longer without imploding or people stepping in to put a stop to this.

With this grand sham ruling, they have once again officially proved to us that white supremacy, white rights to kill and commit crime, oppressive anti-Black racism, and white privilege are irrefutably real and that there is no real progress in this country. They continue to use a whitewashed colorblind MLK, songs like Sam Cook's "A Change Is Gonna Come" to shut Black people up and keep us on the "keep your head up and down as you hope and pray" treadmill, and the massive gains of LGBTQIA+, immigrants, and white women Karens as shields to hide behind when they talk about any "progress" made in this country to distract, delude, fool, manipulate, and throw Black people off our square and so that we can participate in and blissfully dance and twerk to our own demise.

I am not proud to be American in a country full of domestic racist white, non-Black, and traitorous terrorists and enablers and I am damn sure not proud to see my people oppressed without any punishment for the protected perpetrators. I cannot stand for the pledge of allegiance and say "with liberty, and justice for all" when there is no liberty or justice for us Black people. I cannot be a terrorist when I call out the tyranny and evil of actual oppressive terrorists. I can only be one of many heroes. If you try to shame me or speak ill of me for speaking the truth, then what does that make you?

Let's talk about how and why Biden, his DOJ, and his Administration absolutely refuses to do or say anything about this murderous Carolyn Bryant criminal and Emmett Till's murder even after bragging about and passing the Anti-Lynching Act earlier this year.

[/URL]

You know, this is the very same Jim Crow Joe Biden Administration that is also aiming to refund the corrupt police billions of dollars of our taxpayer money (Crime Bill 2.0), gutting Miranda rights, refusing to also charge Breonna Taylor's murderers for murder (not just falsifying warrants and documents), and even offered secret sweetheart plea deals to the murderers of Ahmaud Arbery?! This is why we are not participating in this corrupt system any longer and are slowly breaking away from it. Y'all say "A check for what?!" We're saying... A vote for what?!

And by the way, this demon Carolyn Bryant's own racist son, Lamar Thomas Bryant, is protecting her, so he is also complicit for harboring and protecting a fugitive. If she was Black and responsible for killing a white person, she would be under a prison.

Enough of the BS. Lock both of them up.
