Scambaiting, anyone here do it? or are into watching others?

I have been watching a lot of these YouTube channels that do scambaiting. If you don't know what it involves, it's basically people being vigilanties on the internet and through phone. They will often waste the time of scammers, those that call about your extend car warranty, or about your recent purchase on Amazon.

One of my favorites to watch it Kitboga. He uses virtual machines to toy with scammers, who will go on to his virtual machine and he would then try to turn the tables on the scammers and get their details and even hack their computers sometimes. Some have even gone so far as to reach out to the victims of scammers and stop them from making a payment to the scammers.

I've wanted to try scambaiting myself, but there is some legality with it and on top of that, you have to make sure they can't do anything to you.

Lets buy the New Orleans Saints guys

Did you guys hear about this yet? The owner of the Saints, Gayle Benson, plans to sell the New Orleans Saints after he death, and all profits from the sale will go to charities I imagine she hand picked.

Pretty crazy to sell off a team in this way, but I honestly am intrigued to see who buys it. Hell, let's all pool our money together and buy it! 😳 If I had the money I'd for sure take the chance. How much you think this team could go for?

Do you plan on investing in a Linux-powered phone?

I am. I am waiting until they are more stable though. There are some options now like the PinePhone, Librem 5, and the Pro 1X. They are just not 100% stable yet which is why I am waiting. That and they can be hard to come by. I definitely plan on my next phone being a Linux-powered one. I care about privacy, security, and freedom over my tech.

Anyone else here going to get one?

The 1960s - Over 40% of black families owned their own businesses, what happened?

That was almost 1 in every 2 families having their own business. I have to wonder what happened here. Now it is something like less than 8%. I also was reading the statistics for marriage and co-op parenting. At the same time, 85% of black households were married or co-opting parents. Thomas Sowell has a strong stance on this in blaming the welfare state for ruining the black businesses, the black household/family, and the black community. He says in one generation of being on a welfare state, all of this was destroyed. I think the police state plays a role but I am not sure what he thinks about that.

What are your thoughts on this?

Are you giving your man what he needs and wants or are you giving him what YOU think he needs and wants?

@Caprice and I were debating on this in regards to Megan the Stallion but it is a larger issue. How many of you think you know what men need and want instead of actually listening to the man in your life and acting based on what he says? Listen to woman for 2 minutes:

She is kicking straight up knowledge. I’ve been in situations where I wanted to provide the person I was dating more but she wouldn’t listen to what I needed. They would argue with me about what I needed and then would be upset when I bounced because the next woman would provide me what I needed without issue.

In the Meg the Stallion scenario, the statement is “Protect Black Women” but you can’t tell us to protect when you won’t listen to use when we tell you what’s reasonable behavior. We ask that you be a lady and we’ll protect you…but some women want to be a stank hoe, tramp, hood chick and then still want to demand our protection.

You have to listen to what men say they need, not what you think they should need.

Disconnects between real life and social media

Earlier, I was thinking about how we see so many people post on social media, and how different the posts are from their actual life. I always found it funny to see groups of friends recording themselves laughing and having a good time, and as soon as they stop recording they all go back to frowning and not saying a word to each other. I know it has an effect on a lot of people - Especially kids that are constantly seeing these "perfect" lives and feel like their lives don't live up to their expectations. What do you think about social media and how people portray themselves?

Would you date someone with a couple kids?

Would you date someone if they had any kids? Honestly I have dated some women in the past, and a couple of them had a kid or two. I would say, that having a kid or two is not a deal breaker for me. It's when those kids are annoying brats that it becomes a deal breaker. Like damn, take care of your kids.

What are your views on this? Would you date a woman who already has a kid or two or even more?

Richard Sherman was signed by the Buccaneers

Is this another story of Tom Brady reaching out to veteran players and improving their team? They recently hired Richard Sherman, and we all know he's one of the best CBs out there. Surprised the Seahawks didn't pick him back up, but their loss is the Buccaneers gain.

Do you guys like this signing? I honestly feel like Tom Brady can yet again bring these Buccs to the Super Bowl and maybe win it.

What do you guys think? Discuss away! 👍

Dealing with viruses/malware/spyware/adware etc

Have you ever had to deal with a PC being corrupt due to viruses, malware or anything similar to it? I've had my fair share of problems, especially back in the 90s when I didn't pay attention to the bad sites I would go on. So I remember our home PC would always be full of viruses, and then one time this adware was on my PC and it would advertise porn every time you turned it on. You could probably guess, but my mom whooped my ass. We didn't know how to fix PCs, so my mom fed up, just tossed the thing out the window into the back yard.

If you must know, I was a pervy kids, and didn't know going to a lot of adult sites resulted in viruses, malware and other such things. Especially adware back then, because we'd get ad pop-ups. And this was right on the desktop.

We didn't get a new PC until probably 2008 or so, no joke. I was probably 18 around that time, but I can assure you, I played it safe using that PC.

Anyway, do you guys have any stories about dealing with viruses and other things that hijack pcs and cause issues?

NBA players saying "no" to vaccination, thoughts on this?

I heard Kyrie Irving is among many star players out there saying "no" to the vaccine. Many of them say they had covid and have no need for the vaccine or they are choosing to wait until more testing has been done. There are some doing it as a political statement as well saying they are against the mandate of medical practices being forced on people, which I fully support and respect.

These players are facing suspension, not being able to play in certain stadiums, and being cut loose entirely from their contracts.

There is no current vaccine mandate placed on the NBA as the notion was rejected already.

What do you think are the keys to a successful marriage?

I feel like marriage still has value in this world and when you are paired with the right person for you, it makes life easier and more worth living. I know there are a lot of bad examples out there and reasons why it would seem best to avoid marriage but for me, I think it is an important milestone for me to cross when I am in a committed relationship, ideally before having children.

That being said, what do you think are the keys to a successful marriage in today's world? I know the times have changed and it seems like marriage has only gotten harder for a lot of people.

Where do you think the best spot to live in the US is?

In regards to states, cities, policies, freedom, wealth, opportunities, education, and all that - What spot would you say is best to live in, in the USA?

I was trying to figure this out a few months ago. It seems like each area has its positives and its negatives. Like in Wyoming. Your dollar can stretch far as hell. You can get yourself 10 acres of land with a decent house for under 200k. Property taxes aren't high either. But then you are out in the middle of nowhere with little opportunity so you'd have to be successful online or willing to travel far for work. The education is a mixed bag as well. Not much to do in terms of social luxuries either.

What Do You Bring To The Table?

The question, "what do you bring to the table?" has been stirring up a lot of controversy lately. What would you say if someone asked you that question?

I've actually been asked that before....
Yeah Right Whatever GIF by Kevin Hart: What Now?

Boy bye! No one should have to ask this question if they're having real conversations. But some people answer and start trying to prove their worth. Most women start mentioning, "I cook, clean, operate in my feminine energy...." Sigh. There is only one you and if that person doesn't see what you bring to the table, then they shouldn't have a seat. If they don't notice your worth and your value, then again....
Boy Bye GIF by K. Michelle

My response would be "I am the table." Tf. You're enough ;)

But what are your thoughts?
