White supremacy is a mofo. Ever since he helped lead a possible strike and took a knee, white boys have been after him and using basketball as a trojan horse. I read comments section and they lie that they stopped watching the NBA when they started taking a knee.
99% of us don't see it and critique LeBron based purely on basketball. The other tactic is to make straw man arguments about him never being considered the GOAT. I've seen memes with LeBron vs Kobe or LeBron vs Jordan stats and they are over the top with the bashing. I've said before I don't personally think he's the GOAT but it doesn't mean I will bash him either. He's in the conversation and that is fantastic. What I love the most about LeBron is him being a role model father and husband. Let's keep it a buck. Both MJ and Kobe had a side chick. But they were great fathers to their kids. LeBron has been exemplary and he has made fantastic financial moves. My guess is the last thing white boys want is for LeBron's personal life and financial strategy to be the norm for Black players coming into the NBA. Imagine most of the players marrying and being faithful and great fathers and look to build generational wealth? It's a game changer that will trickle down. Most of the players came up from the hood so to have them adopt that mindset early is dangerous to white supremacy.
Again, I think LeBron can be far more of a B1 person than he is now, but he's not anti Black either. He's fairly decent brother. And leading a possible strike (which took Obama to talk them out of) and taking the knee is a huge step in the right direction.

The MLBs ratings have sunk over the last 20 years. The number of black American players have sunk to an all time post civil rights low. How do they explain that? Young people just aren't watching sports as prior generations have. That's just the simple fact. There are far more distractions and the game has been effed with that its no longer good viewing. That's the real reason.

Republicans Trying To Kill Program That Brings Affordable Broadband To The Poor

Last month we noted how a program aimed at helping low income Americans afford broadband was at risk of being dismantled thanks to congressional incompetence and corruption.

The FCC program, dubbed the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), was part of the 2021 infrastructure bill. It provides low-income Americans $30 off their monthly broadband bill. 22 million Americans are currently receiving the discount. It’s a useful program, but it’s poised to run out of money in April. And efforts to continue funding it are being obstructed by the GOP, which is falsely insisting it’s “wasteful”:

“As lawmakers with oversight responsibility over the ACP, we have raised concerns, shared by the FCC Inspector General, regarding the program’s effectiveness in connecting non-subscribers to the Internet,” the lawmakers wrote. “While you have repeatedly claimed that the ACP is necessary for connecting participating households to the Internet, it appears the vast majority of tax dollars have gone to households that already had broadband prior to the subsidy.”

The complaint is misleading. The program’s primary function isn’t so much expanding broadband access (there’s a separate, $42.5 billion budget included in the infrastructure bill for that), so much as it is ensuring that broadband is affordable for struggling, low-income Americans.

As we’ve explored at length, U.S. broadband is hugely expensive due to corruption, regulatory capture, mindless consolidation, monopolization, and a lack of competition. These are all concepts the GOP has long, clearly, and very vocally supported via attacks on both corporate accountability, community-supported broadband, regulatory oversight, and any effort to rein in unchecked telecom monopoly power (note: Republicans tried to ban community-owned and operated broadband networks during the peak of the pandemic because Comcast and AT&T asked them to).

If the GOP’s attacks on the ACP succeed, 22 million Americans will suddenly be socked with a significantly higher bill. Many of these users signed up for the program (and broadband service) during the peak of COVID lockdowns to ensure their kids could attend class. Keep in mind: the lion’s share of the GOP voted against the infrastructure bill, but routinely takes credit for its benefits among local constituents.

In reality, the GOP is opposing the program because it’s popular and successful. The pretense is they’re worried about high costs (its original price tag was $14.2 billion), yet the same party routinely signs off on huge payouts to telecoms that serve no coherent purpose. Recall that AT&T alone nabbed $42 billion from the Trump era tax cuts in exchange for doing absolutely nothing. That’s on top of billions in taxpayer subsidies and regulatory favors that routinely don’t deliver what they promise.

To be clear, the ACP is not a serious, long-term fix to the problem of affordable broadband. It basically involves taking taxpayer money and throwing it at regional telecom monopolies (directly responsible for high broadband prices in the first place) so they’ll temporarily reduce their high rates. And when it was first implemented, several big ISPs like Verizon and Charter gamed the system to upcharge customers.

The real solution is cracking down on monopoly power and supporting pro-competitive policies (including support for municipal, cooperative, and utility-run broadband networks). But the FCC and Congress have been generally too corrupt and captured to do that, so this is what we got instead.

None of that means this program doesn’t provide real-world value to struggling Americans.

It’s aggressively unfair to introduce such a program during peak COVID, then rip the program out from under the feet of 22 million low-income Americans. All so the GOP can put on a hollow performance about how they’re concerned with runaway costs. Their opposition here is both performative and political, and it will come with a very real human cost.

This is such a sad video. Black father has a biracial son (white mother). Little kid, I'm guessing under 6. The son asks why he is Black and mom is White and says "I'm glad I'm not as black as you". A few things: 1. The dad's answer 2. Questions about the environment and mother. 3. Going forward, I have doubts the father will take steps to instill some pride in his son.
As an aside, I've been listening to this channel. I haven't subscribed but I have been going through his recent videos. He said he was formerly a conservative. and says when he was 'in the sunken place'. I kinda, sorta remember him back then. He seemed familiar when I recently saw his videos the past month or so. I've heard him parrot some of the same B1 stuff, the major black influencers say. I've seen him go hard on Larry Elder and Candace Owens. I've also heard TBA comment on his video and say 'Even a broken clock is correct twice a day'. My guess is TBA remembers him from his conservative days and/or doesn't believe he's changed to our side.

Lastly, I've known plenty of bi-racials and they have come in all mindsets from clinging to any semblance of whiteness to being very pro black. We have a couple on here and if they are here they are B1. I haven't seen any non B1 members, although there could be I suppose. Many of us have biracial relatives. I disagree with Dr. Umar about interracial relationships. I've seen people with white girlfriends who are very pro black. More than the average sista. I know a guy from my college days whose mom remarried a white guy and they are all very pro Black. Everything comes down to the individual and who you vet and decide to have a relationship with.

I listened to a recent broadcast of the C.O.W.S (Neutralising Workplace Racism, December 23rd) where Gus. T had said that AI was using "trustworthy faces" on advertisements for people who are considered worthy of working for companies and how this practice can be used to mistreat Victims Of Racism, I imagine a company advertisement for employment that will display a constrast of the "trustworthy" faced Suspected Racist (desired worker) and a Black person's face being depicted stereotypically as having tattoos, gold teeth/chains and an angry face (the undesired worker). Also, I have noticed that a lot of AI generated digital drawings on the internet are appearing to become more and more realistic when displaying people (including animations), I imagine that these realistic images will also be used to place Black people into Greater Confinement (prison). Racists are definitely in the process of making Artificial Intelligence into a full-fledged tool of White Supremacy with AI text messaging where the AI is programmed to say the n word to practices like the one shown in the attached image.


What other ways could Black people be criminalised by White Supremacists using Artifical Intelligence and how can we counter it

While existing in the System Of White Supremacy/Racism, I would NEVER use a public facility like this for my offspring. I bet the White Supremacists will most certainly place these baby boxes in predominantly Black areas, I can imagine two ways that this can harm Black babies one, White people can leave the baby in there until it dies (probably by sound-proofing the boxes in Black areas), two, taking the Non-White baby away to a room in the hospital where it can be harmed. I have been told that the 'Medical Apartheid' book is a constructive book to read.
