Kenya now has 5G, but it's very expensive

Recently a telecommunications company promised Kenyans that they would be getting 5G internet, and they have gotten that. The downside is that the majority of Kenyan residents cannot afford the activation/installation and purchase of these expensive phones. It is said that it will cost at least $600 just to start, but monthly deals start at around $29 a month and they will only get 10Mpbs at which it is capped at 300 GB of use. If you pay $124 a month, it could get you 100Mbps connection capped at 1 TB. On top of that all, the fees for activation, plus buying a phone, adds up.

It is said that 80% of Kenyans will not be able to afford this.

Powerball jackpot past a billion dollars, what'd you do if you won it all?

The powerball jackpot all over the US continues to get bigger as the past few drawings haven't yielded any winners. This means that $1.5 billion dollars is up for grabs yet. If you won all of it, what would you do with it? You won't get every single penny of that, but after taxes, I'm sure you'll still have over a billion dollars left. If no one wins, the pot will continue to get bigger.

Honestly I think it's too much money for one person. I heard when you win this much, it's suggested you hire a financial advisor to help track your money and spending. I don't know if I'd want to do that, but I suppose when you have that much money, it won't hurt to hire someone on to help. But then that brings up worries of them trying to take more than they should be paid for.

What would you do with the money if you were to win? I'd buy myself a nice house, maybe a home for my parents some cars and pack my new house with a bunch of stuff. I'd donate some, help out with family and help my hometown as well.

I think it's way too much money though and what I think the lottery should do is split it up more so that more people win. I think that would help the economy more than dropping it in the hands of one or a few people only.

What do you think?

I was looking into some stuff last night and boy oh boy. I don't think Kayne is sounding so crazy anymore.

Look through that post. Look at the articles. Apparently the "6 million" thing for jews was a prophecy THEY WANTED to be fulfilled so they can reclaim "their land". They kept pushing it for years, well before WW2 was even a thing.

I feel like we been being lied to this whole time. I shouldn't be surprised. “a lie told often enough becomes the truth.”

T-Mobile Will Add A $35 "Device Connection Charge" To Nearly All Transactions

T-Mobile is one of the few US carriers that offers customers the possibility to avoid the so-called “Assisted Support Charge” if they register online. Unfortunately, this will no longer be possible since the Un-carrier is preparing its staff for a new support policy that requires customers to pay a unified “Device Connection Charge” fee.

According to internal documents leaked by TMO.Report, T-Mobile’s new Device Connection Charge (DCC) is a one-time $35 (plus applicable taxes) charge for connecting a new device to the network when activating or upgrading with T-Mobile. This could previously be prevented in many cases by simply placing your order online.

The new charge applies to each device activated or upgraded. More importantly, orders with multiple devices are charged for each device. There’s a long list of transactions that require T-Mobile customers to pay the $35 fee. Fortunately, there are exceptions that would save customers $35. Here are all the scenarios where you won’t be charged for DCC:

Automatic exceptions

National retail orders (Apple, Best Buy, Costco, etc.)
DIGITS Talk & Text and PROXY by DIGITS activations
JUMP! And JUMP! On Demand upgrades
T-Mobile for Business customers activation or upgrading through Direct & Indirect Sales or Care
Accounts activated through the Activations channel or Puerto Rico Care because they use Samson, which doesn’t support DCC
New lines that were charged for DCC within the past 14 days
Migration from Sprint to T-Mobile
Prepaid activations and upgrades
Changing a SIM or eSIM on an existing line

Manual exceptions

When completing an order for a replacement device and the customer already paid DCC on the first order
When completing a like for like replacement device order in DASH due to a T-Mobile error (damaged, defective, order never received, what’s in the box accessory missing)

The leaked documents suggest T-Mobile might enforce the new $35 charge starting November 15, just in time for the big Black Friday sale. On the other hand, Home Internet and other lines will charge the existing Assisted Support Charge fee beginning November 3, which will be switched to DCC on November 15

This Black Man Created Many Famous Black Shows And They Tried To Erase Him.

Norman Lear is credited as the creator of many Black T.V. shows and characters....
but in reality credit belongs to a very talented and creative Black man that was exploited
and eventually left bankrupt while greedy, racist network executives raked in big money
with the help of a corrupt, complicit legal system.

We don't have many options...

It seems like we have the option to vote red and hope for change, vote blue and continue to shoot ourselves in the foot, or don't vote and pray things don't get worse.

The midterms are about a week away. I was not intending on voting but at this point, I feel like I have to and as much as I don't want to do it, I am voting red.

I can't deal with my food costs going up, gas going up, everything that has been happening the last 2 years killed my 5 year plan. I intended on getting a house and I am in a worse position now than I was in 2019. Because of inflation my raise at work was even canceled out. My rent went up. I just can't deal with it anymore. Now they are saying we are almost out of diesel which means gas prices are going to shoot up even high and the cost of production will likely double. Everything is going to get more expensive unless something is done.

I am sick of hearing about abortions and climate change. We need something done to help us now and help our families now. We need prices coming down. We need the mortgage rates to drop. We need it to be easier to open a business. The fight for abortion and climate change has done NOTHING for black people. Not a damn thing. Why we keep voting for people who support this shit?

People Return To Offices, Productivity Plunges

Commentary

One of the most interesting things about the pandemic, at least from an employment perspective, is that productivity didn’t suffer as a result of remote work.

In many cases, employees became even more productive while working from home, either because they were happier or because they were making an extra effort to impress far-away bosses.

Now comes word from the Bureau of Labor Statistics that productivity plunged during the first half of 2022, down by the sharpest rate since the 1940s.

Economists are trying to come up with explanations for the decline, and to understand what this means for post-pandemic changes to the workplace, including hybrid schedules that allow more time out of the office.

My hunch is that many workers are letting their employers know that things are different now.

First, there’s the trend of “quiet quitting,” by which some employees throttle back on their work tempo to express a recalibration of their work-life balance. That is, they’re reprioritizing the importance of work in their lives.

More important, I suspect, productivity is falling because many people simply came away from the pandemic feeling that their employer wasn’t there for them in a meaningful fashion as Mr. Corona pushed us all around.

And now that many businesses are once again requiring a physical presence in the office, some employees are consciously or subconsciously expressing their dissatisfaction by taking their foot off the gas pedal, as it were.

People who previously went above and beyond at work are now giving little more than the expected output.

People who previously gave only the expected output are now just going through the motions.

Managers will say this is a problem with their workforce. I see it more as a management issue.

If managers can’t motivate their staffs with positive, satisfying workplaces, they’ll see productivity fall by the wayside.

Some managers are even responding to the changes by imposing productivity-tracking software on employees — programs that monitor how long you’re at your desk and how busy you are at the keyboard.

I may not know how precisely to create a positive, satisfying workplace. But I know that spying on employees isn’t a great start.

So, yeah, productivity is down as wary workers are returning to offices.

It’s not rocket science.

I Tested Positive for COVID

Yesterday morning I had a meeting at 8AM…right after it was done I felt extremely sick and weak. I immediately head to the bed…I had chest pain, shortness of breath, my head was hot but my body was shivering cold. I was so weak and in so much pain, it sucked. Sleeping was hard because my temperature was so elevated. I popped two benadryls while listening to Taharka Bey and had a dream about discovering some moorish secrets. It was strange AF. I took a test this morning and it came back positive so I’ma lay low the next week.

I feel better today but I’m still bed ridden and weak. COVID is no joke.
