I haven't used Spotify in some months and there seem to be no real free alternatives.

Apple Music, Tidal, and Qobuz are paid subscription only.
Deezer has better music quality than Spotify, but I don't like its navigation / search and its user interface.

It doesn't sit well with my spirit to stream music only for almost none of it to go to the artists (especially Black musicians) and most of the generated revenue going into the bank accounts of undeserving untalented hacks such as white supremacist, anti-Black racist leeches like Joe Rogan, as well as the suspected white supremacist platform Spotify that proudly supports him instead.

Can you imagine tapdancing for 0.01 penny a minute while the partner / plantation overseer that does absolutely nothing but sit on their ass gets 99.99 pennies per minute and being totally okay with it? And wanting the general public to continue supporting such a disgusting system?

I posted these 2 years ago. This was way before I began to follow the New Black Media. Two things happened. Facebook shadow banned the post. The few people who did see it attacked me and was against my stance.

I did vote and I'll be the first to admit that was a mistake and I now realize that!

I remember Vine and how short-lived that social app was. I was actually on that one. I watched some people I already followed on YouTube. I never posted myself. I feel like TikTok though... It is not something that can last either. I know Vine was bought out but younger people primarily use apps like this and they get bored and move on faster and faster. I am not sure how much longer it will be around but I can't see TikTok being a popular thing 5 years from now. If it is even still around. A lot of countries banned it because it promotes stupidity. I have seen my fair share of it floating around online. I want nothing to do with it lol

How soon do you expect to get physical when you are dating someone new? After the first date? After a few dates? Do you wait until you are in a relationship?

Curious to see what everyone thinks is best for them. You can answer this if you are married or in a relationship. We all tend to still know our own expectations in the dating world even after we are out of it.

For me, I view it as a risk. I don't like to just hop into bed with someone I hardly know. There have been times when I waited for a few months, other times it was a few dates. I think it depends on how well and how fast I get to know someone. I don't want to risk getting pregnant by what turns out to be a bum. Even with birth control and condoms, there is still always a chance of pregnancy and that is always on my mind when dating someone new. So for me, I like to wait things out and take things slow. Messing around is one thing but going all the way? I have to be sure about it.

I have been waiting for the weather to warm up. Finally got my garden going outside. Going to keep adding to it as things grow. I am hoping to keep things going into the fall. I am looking forward to being able to go to cookouts again and enjoy the park and events in my area. Since covid is not a huge deal anymore, I think this will be the first "normal" summer we have had since 2019. I know inflation is a problem, the "war" (aka money laundering scam), and other issues are still happening but I think we can at least find time to enjoy the summer this year.

Today, I seen someone driving by and noticed someone that they know, who was waiting at the bus stop, stopped and asked her for a ride. Now, this young lady had her child in a stroller and the person who offered the ride, had stopped on the left turn lane by the neutral ground instead of either pulling over near the curb or make a U-turn and come near the bus stop.
This person literally made her run out in the street, with baby in stroller (Thank God that there was no incoming traffic) to get in the car that stopped in a turning lane, holding up the car behind them. What made it even more crazy is that me and elder woman, who watched this situation take place, we tried to get their attention, you know that the driver or no one in the car with the driver, didn't hear a single word. Not only that, no one in the car didn't even considered telling the driver that what is being done is dangerous, because ain't no telling what's gonna come. It could be a box truck, school bus, public transportation, 18-wheelers, 22-wheelers or construction vehicles (a new fast food restaurant is being built). That thought never crossed their minds.
Who does this? Unfortunately it's OUR youth, 25 & under (if not, 30).
The lady sitting next to me was saying that it was the charter school system that started two months before Hurricane "Katrina" as an experiment, after the storm, it was fully implemented so these were the same people that fell under the charter school. That's true, but only in part. It was also the failure of those who raised them short handed and ill-equipped to handle this world because they wasn't raised to be civilized and upstanding adults.
This kind of stuff seems to be a common occurrence, mostly in the black "neighborhoods" because we really don't have a "community" because we don't own or run anything. Thank you Civil Rights Generation for not leaving Gen-Xers nothing to further our cause. You let LBJ make us "N"-words vote Democrat for the next 200 years, which we are about 60 years in. For having your hands out looking for a handout (aka Government Assistance) to only to stop us from fighting and protesting. For not teaching us anything of value and substance, instead of false promises and symbolism. For not having the decency to create generational wealth. All this talk about wanted to be treated equal, yet don't wanna do anything to become equal. You reneged on the mission and now these youngsters have nothing because they were taught nothing.
You wanna know why Black neighborhoods are falling apart? There's your answer and probably more after that.

When I see black owned products , I usually try and make it a point to but something from the company,even if it's something I don't need. My biggest issue with a lot of black owned shops and their products is they are almost always subpar (not up to quality) if it's not the presentation and packaging, it's the product itself.
I saw on Twitter a new brand of deodorant called "Fresh Pitz", black owned so I had to try it. They had 3 types, one for men, one for women and one for kids. No alcohol, no aluminum or baking soda in it. Sounds good! So I order one for men and I just received it. It smells good, the packaging was blah, arrived in an envelope, no box just the deodorant in an envelope. You can tell these are generic deodorant sticks with stickers of the company on them.
I understand if you're just getting started, but first impressions are everything! You have to spend money to make money. My suggestion would be to get a designer and have them print your company logo and information on the deodorant holders.
Stickers make it look cheap,or at least get the quality ones that wrap around most of the holder.
I'm always looking to support our people, but come on, you have to put out quality work to stay successful.

Just opened it and rolled it out once and the deodorant just cracked in half...
