So a friend wants to set me up...

A friend of mine's fiance has a cousin who she wants to set me up with. He is a light skin dude (mixed) with pretty green eyes. She wants us to go to the wedding together but was hoping we could actually date first and go as a couple. They are getting married at the end of January. I saw some pics and he is an attractive man. He is about 6'2, nice built but on the thinner side, working on starting up his own business, and has a lot going for him (already owns his own house). The only thing is, he does have a daughter from a past relationship of whom he takes care of full time. The mother skipped state when she was 2 years old and basically dumped her on him. His ex was a white woman so the little girl is more white than black. I don't have an issue with that though. She is a cute girl and all and no baby momma drama in the picture but my concern is that if it became serious, I might treat our children better than her. I always had this worry when dating men who already had kids. I am not sure how I feel about it. She is 6 years old now and he is 32. What would you do in this situation? Any advice?

You notice any new shortages in your area?

I keep reading and hearing about people having food shortages and trouble finding certain things but I have yet to see it. I mean some stuff is stocked lighter on the shelves and I might have to go to two stores instead of one to get what I need but nothing as bad as other people have been saying. I feel like this is some kind of scam or something to encourage hoarding to get us to spend more at this point cause the economy is in this crapper lol

LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart get into it during Pistons/Lakers game

Did anyone here catch this yesterday? I guess LeBron swiped at Isaiah Stewart and Stewart wasn't happy. It looked like LeBron tried to sort it out after the fact, but Stewart didn't care. Or LeBron said something completely different, idk. Either way, Stewart was out for blood last night, his team could barely hold him back as he charged towards the Lakers bench. LeBrons hit actually ended up causing a cut near or above Stewarts eye.

I guess LeBron was ejected from the game same with Stewart, so there's that. Do you think LeBron is a dirty player? I know he loves to flop to make it look like he was fouled by another player. He did or does that a lot it seems. But I don't recall LeBron being that physical, but I could be wrong, don't watch a ton of basketball these days.

Here's a video of it:

Ever lose interest in your partner?

Whether it be your partner, spouse, etc. Have you ever lost your interest your partner to the point where you no longer are interested in dating? There was only one girl in my life that I dated, and like a lot at first, but then just lost interest in not too long after. For me, it wasn't anything about the attraction I had for her, she's a beautiful woman, but her attitude, and anger were a big turn off fast. I believe she was undiagnosed bipolar, because she would be chill and happy one second, and then the next she'd find a reason to be mad.

Like one time, we were going to see an NBA game. I had invited one of my friends and his girlfriend as I had two other tickets. My girlfriend was all for it, and happy to meet my friends girlfriend. But the morning of the game, she started to get anxious and mad for no reason. It's like she literally woke up on the wrong side of the bed. We went to the game, and she was just mopping all game, wouldn't talk and wasn't paying attention to the game. So I ended up breaking it off with her a week later after she acted up on me for some other nonsense I've since forgotten.

But, have you ever lost interest in a partner? Maybe for the reason I specified, or maybe it was something completely different.

Ever do an all-nighter?

Have you ever done an all-nighter when you got that new game you were looking forward to forever now? I remember a few times playing Call of Duty with friends until the morning hours. These days I can't do it anymore, but back then I was all for it. Do you guys still pull any all-nighters when you get a new game? Or maybe go back to a classic? What games did you have all-nighters in?

What are your physical preferences?

In terms of the physical body, what are some things you find most attractive about men or women (or both)?

For me, I have always preferred taller men. This is not to say I have not dated shorter men, I just have a preference for height. I like to feel small. I know that sounds silly but it is true. I also prefer fit men but I have dated a few fat guys in my day. Again, this was about feeling smaller. Obviously well dressed and groomed is a staple. No one wants to date a man who can't take care of themselves. I like strong hands, bright eyes, clear soft skin, and thick hair on a man.

Anyone else lose interest?

I used to watch the NBA and the NFL. I was never big into baseball, hockey, MMA, or any of the other sports though but I did love basketball and football at one point. As I got a bit older, I started losing interest. I don't think I watch a full season of the NFL since 2013 and I stopped watching the NBA back in 2015. I have had no desire to pay attention to either sport. Anyone else have this happen with sports?

When did women start preaching independence?

I know in music, it was not always the case. There have been plenty of female singers who sung songs about love, softness, femininity, loving their men etc. but it seems like in the '90s everything switched. There was more of a focus on promoting women "not needing no man" and it seems like the majority of female artists be them singers, rappers, or whatever always have songs that preach about women having the money, the control, and the power in the relationship.

When did this become the norm though?
