I am the only one out of my friends and family that enjoys vegetable subs and sandwiches. I was a vegetarian for a while when I was younger and unless I am craving something in particular, I default to a lot of "no meat" meals even now. I actually like veggie burgers too and my family is always calling me "Bugs" cause I eat like a rabbit. They still do this now even though I eat meat again. lol

I prefer lighter sandwiches and love salads so to me, a veggie sub or sandwich is like a salad I can hold and eat. They are just haters. What food/drinks you like that no one else in your circle seems to like?

Since I started having pomegranate juice, been trying to get people to have it. No takers yet.

I put pomegranate powder in my daily yogurt because it’s like rotor rooter for the arteries. I didn’t know about the blood pressure effect, that’s good to know.

I drank that years ago. I am not a big fan of the stuff but it is really good for cleansing your blood and balancing your blood pressure. The reason I was drinking it was cause my blood pressure ran too low. Ended up lowering it even more so I had to stop drinking it.

My household eats the same diet. Sometimes we do eat vegan. It’s been a minute but we usually get vegan food from two black owned spots especially Hue’s cafe. They have a mushroom burger that’s so good. I can’t eat the jackfruit vegan tacos (I had a reaction). The mushroom pasta is another good dish. I had to let it go though because they put too much sauce in the container. I still support because they are good, friendly people. My favorite is the hue wings (fried cauliflower) and fried potatoes. They sell mini vegan sweet potato pies that always sell out. I still need to go eat in there. Now Land of Kush is the other plant based spot, and their food is just as good. It’s vegan soul food. It’s been some years since I had their food. Going to get some soon, I miss the cornbread. I mostly eat a regular diet, but sometimes I need to eat plant based to take a break. Salads, steamed veggies, veggie sandwiches, veggie pasta are cool with me. I can’t be strictly plant based though.

I think having a balance works for most people. Being vegan is good for some, not for most. Vegetarian diets when done right are probably the most healthy cause you are still getting animal proteins thought dairy and such.
