So my fiance's daughter got me sick. She caught something from her friend's house. I been sneezing, coughing, have a sore throat on and off, blocked nose, and just keep going in waves of feeling okay to feeling terrible. I have not been sick in so long idk how to manage lol

I just been drinking water, OJ, and eating canned soup. My mom is going to make me some homemade chicken soup today and I am off work until next week. No one wants me coming in with germs.

What do you do to nurse you cold that speeds up your recovery time?

Soup, rest, OJ, tea, & Vick's vapor rub usually works in my household. Sometimes, OTC cold medicine.
Have you taken a Covid test?
I have not but he got her tested and she does have it so I think it is safe to assume that I do. I thought I was feeling at my worst the other day but today I am feeling horrible. I have a severe headache and just feel like 10 times worse.

Probably a bit late, but this is what I do for my family:

-We take alkaline baths every month. If someone has the sniffles, or trying to come down with something, they take an alkaline bath. Basically sprinkle some baking soda in warm water and soak in it, almost like a sponge bath.

-Tinctures are your friend. Everyone (except the baby) gets a tincture once a week.

-Real Elderberry Syrup... can also take this if you feel something coming. Everyone in my family takes it.

    -Rest!

-Make sure you are drinking water.

    -Get plenty of sunlight.

-Orange Juice/chicken noodle soup/lemon, ginger, honey, turmeric tea/spoonful of honey can help soothe your throat if you don't have throat lozenges.

-Heavy hitter: Get a mason jar, fill it with 1 part chopped garlic and 2 parts Apple Cider Vinegar. Seal it with a paper towel/rubber band (it needs to breathe) and let it sit for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks you can take a spoonful whenever you think you're coming down with something. Eat a piece of the garlic if you think you need extra help.

-Vick's vapor rub on feet, chest, back and neck with some cold medicine if you get sick and want to help knock it out really quickly.

-Another thing I do that may seem trivial is staying on top of housekeeping, including: dust, vacuum and wipe down furniture, doorknobs, light switches every week.

-Once you get better, clean any water bottles that you normally use, clean the bedding, replace your toothbrush.

I probably left something out, but that's what we currently do. We rarely get sick. If anything affects us, it's mostly due to the A/C being too cold, or the weather is being bipolar. Hope you all are feeling better!

I forgot to mention Vicks vapor rub in my answer. It really opens up my nostrils when I can't breathe. Soup, orange juice, OTC cold medicine and herbal tea have not worked for me for colds although I do consume these.

A few of these tips are useful to me. Some of them do not work for me although others have said it worked for them. Dusting definitely will help because there are dust spots in many places. It does not become apparent until a person dusts and looks at the duster.
