How can you square the previous with Exhibit#2.

Nobody wants to live in a tin can. I get that but if I asked her every month for half of my/our bills, could she come up with it and feel like the song says?

They tried pushing being independent on women and for a lot of them, it worked. They would rather find their own means for support, have their own careers, and have their own say but for a lot of these women who make all the money, they will not settle for men who make the same or less than them. I always thought this was funny.

If you want to be a career woman and provide for yourself, go for it but don't act surprised when a man can't impress you.

This is a funky dynamic at work. My father is an electric engineer and my mother was a nurse. Sometimes she made more than he did and vice versa.

How can you square the previous with Exhibit#2.

If we reduce this down to a hunter/gather society we would see women gravitating towards men who could provide stability and security. The man that could hunt 1 hog would get a woman but the man that could hunt 3 hogs and provide pork chops every night would get the best looking women in the village.

Now if the man that got 3 hogs a day required the women to help hunt then he would definitely lose a sizable amount of interest, only the cream of the crop, the most dedicated would remain. Independent women IMO is a privilege of first world society.

I have no doubt that there are women who are better marketers, accountants, lawyers, etc than men but who built the building they work in? Who butchered the cows that now sit on their plates in delicious splendor? Who hops into the sewers when pipes break to ensure you get the desired effect when you turn your sink knob?

Almost every woman I know personally, that took the career route and had the mindset of "I don't need a man" or " my career comes first" ALL of them are getting old alone! I have family members that ruined their marriage over their carriers, and all of them are miserable, man-less and regret it.

In my example, this would only be possible if she was already under the tutelage of a breadwinner and frolicked with zero hog Trog on the sneak tip.

Becky had Kevin with 11 hogs but met Trog who had zero hogs but lit her fire.

Would Becky opt for Trog if the 11 hogs weren't secured? No. She would be looking for the hogs first. Her ideal is Trog with a Hog but she'll deal with Boring Kevin with 11 if it's the most economically viable decision.

Almost every woman I know personally, that took the career route and had the mindset of "I don't need a man" or " my career comes first" ALL of them are getting old alone! I have family members that ruined their marriage over their carriers, and all of them are miserable, man-less and regret it.

I noticed that in my social circle as well. A lot of the ladies are headstrong and career-driven. Even the white ones are this way if they are under 30.

There are way more black women in college than black men as well. I feel like this needs to change to balance things out or they will continue to be alone and only getting flyby dudes in their beds which sets up a bad president for family values and raising kids. Ladies need to be real with themselves. You can't have a career, a healthy relationship, and kids. Some can manage two but most only get one and that is a problem.
