We gotta do a better job of ignoring certain things.

The urge to drag, get outraged, or write thinkpeices on certain phenomena like the Fresh and Fit podcast, DJ Vlad, DJ Akademiks posts, or a lot of these blogs like SayCheese, The Shade Room, and the like needs to be quelled. I understand that they know which clips to use to generate certain reactions, but we as a community have to use our heads to dismiss if not ignore them completely.

Kevin Samuels is the most recent example of this, we didn't even know who he was at one time. After the model date he went on(which I believe they were both in on for views) and a couple viral videos shoot around, he's an internet household name in the community. Some love him, many hate him, but all sharing takes on him did was keep him in trends for a solid amount of time. People that don't like him that post hate thinkpeices about him are doing him more of a favor then those who choose to ignore what he posts.

I've blocked or refuse to even engage with many subjects, products or people, for the simple fact that I don't want them to trend. Collectively it's easier said than done, but if this message can spread more things might change. In the meantime do it for your personal well-being.

I know exactly what you mean. My thing is, if you're not talking about destroying white supremacy, everything else coming out of your mouth is illrelevent to me. The shows/podcasts/and YouTube videos talking about borderline gossip shit is nothing but entertainment for white people. They don't realize most of black people's problems wouldn't exist if white supremacy didn't exist.
I've seen nothing but bafoonary from the people you named and I refuse to give any of them my time or energy.

Exactly. A lot of these shows, trends, or podcasts are nothing but distractions. It ties in with a point I made in another thread; the logistics of getting organized to fight the status quo will be a pain in the ass because no one takes anything seriously. It's all about RTing ridiculous takes and partaking in arguing, making the endless cycle of B.S. continue.

One more thing: cancelling hardly ever works, if anything it bolsters whoever you're trying to cancel. Morgan Wallen literally got away with a racial slur and his streams went up. Once again it's not easy but do your best to ignore the situation.

Good points. 2022 is about protecting my peace. No more wasting energy on internet trolls.

thanks to the honest and truthful open conversations the ados talk started, its become a lot easier to not only ignore bs social media posts but people and unnecessary interactions in my everyday dwellings.

I start talking with another person of melanin, I slip in "damn nothing like cornbread and milk on a winter day", if this person is clueless to what I'm talking about, the conversation is basically over at that point, but its nothing insidious, I just know now keep my distance.

You ain’t lying. There’s so many people thats focused on the things that the don’t like that they don’t even focus on what they do like. KS is a great example too after he did that lil sixdagoddess thing people couldn’t get his name out their mouth pause.

This shit is abundance in ADOS and FBA circles niggas will sit and talk about Black immigrants all day but contribute nothing to the community.

People lack focus and discipline. They also like getting caught up in the bull because it is their excuse for lack of productivity m
