Loved him & Bill Cosby in "Let's Do It Again", "Uptown Saturday Night" & "A Piece Of The Action"! "Call Me, Mr. Tibbs" as well. ❤RIP, Sidney❤
I loved the movies that you named! I also enjoyed "In The Heat Of The Night" and "A Raisin In The Sun".
Mr. Poitier was an actor's actor, an his place in history is solidified.

Sidney Poitier was truly a classy actor. When growing up, our entire family watched anything starring him. He has died at age 94.

He was the first male Black Academy Award best actor winner. Civil Rights activist, and starred in groundbreaking films.

Does anyone else remember this great man?

Absolutely this is a beautiful thread. He was a trail blazer and I hope he is resting in peace.
