Honestly I think this dude is acting up his sexual orientation to get more eyes on him. He recently was at the VMAs in a dress and long hair (a wig, as he didn't perform in the same stuff). He's been dressing up ever since he came out of the closet. Sure, that's great for him, but I am getting this vibe that he's doing it for attention. Because honestly, I don't think he'd be popular otherwise. Ever since Old Town Road blew up, I feel like he wants to find any way to keep the popularity going. Because many thought he'd be a one hit wonder, and honestly I can't get into most of his other music.

If this happens to be the real him, than more power to him I guess. But I truly believe he's pretending in order to stick around. But, what do you guys think of this? Is Lil Nas X pretending? Or is this now the real him going forward?

I think he's definitely playing a character. I think all the over the top gay theatrics is Lil Nas X trying to be the next Little Richard or Boy George. The problem for him is that Little Richard & Boy George were far more talented than Lil Nas. Once people realize that Lil Nas X doesn't make good music, then the alphabet gang will kick him to the curb and we won't have to see him anymore.

Why is it hard for some of yall to believe certain black males are gay?
To this day there are some people still saying tyler the creator is "trolling".
I believe Lil Nas X is gay, and I have no problem with his sexual preference. The same with Tyler, Luther Vandross, Drake, and Frank Ocean.
I just think that Lil Nas X is playing an exaggerated character of a stereotypical gay male, the same way Lil Kim played a hypersexual gimmick when she was poppin'.
In my opinion, he's trying to sell his image because his music isn't that good.

I agree, he's probably making some good money though.

‘Is he promoting himself or is he just a tool of the machine that’s pushing him in our face?
Both. There's definitely a machine (with an agenda) behind him, but he's a willing participant in the plan. He's a modern day minstrel in a pink thong.

This dude is doing whatever he can to continue whatever agenda is being pushed, just know that he's not doing it on his own but at the behest of whoever he's following...

Exactly how I feel about it as well. I don’t see him as some young enterprising dude that hustled his way to the top. They saw that he was a willing tool and they plugged him into the system and blew him up.

I feel like it's a bit of both. He's a flamboyant person but he's also playing up his character. I'm sure he felt like he was going to have a hard time following up after Old Town Road and needed something to keep him relevant. I mean, he got another album and pay day instead of fizzling out so he has that going for him.

Remember Janet showed part of her breast and was castigated but this dude kissing men on TV and having videos with dudes dancing nude in a prison shower. I feel like he's an assailant more than an actor. Why are there no mainstream publications attacking him or calling this out as bad? Why is there no major publications calling this a degradation of society? Where's the White Lil Nas X?

It might very well be. I am surprised by how many folks in mainstream who do these perversions publicly, but secretly mess around with the opposite gender.

I've no idea. I was done when he announced he was pregnant by Drake!

Yep. And Janet wasn't even the one who pulled her nipple out. Justin Timberlake did.

Nas X is a full blown homo but he’s taken this route of expressing his homosexuality because of how he was outed. He doesn’t strike me as the flamboyant type of gay, more like a Tyler The Creator type gay but because he was outed the way he was he decided to give an FU to the world by being over the top and shoving it in our faces constantly. Now he’s pigeonholed to a flaming flamboyant character and thats not the real him.

He’s out YET still not living his truth. Very sad reality.

You’re giving him a huge benefit of the doubt. He was always like this and decided “fuck it” and became his real self once outed.

My take on it and its all conjecture is this. He is definitely gay. That of itself is no big deal. I think he just wanted to be a rapper, entertainer. If he was this flamboyant, why didn't he act out on his only huge hit?

My understanding was that he never hid his sexuality. It wasn't a big deal. Supposedly people around him when he made the hit knew he was gay but didn't trip, the song took off and it wasn't like he was trying to hide it from what I understand. He just didn't care.

When it blew up and he got on a label, we all know the music industry got tons of gays in management positions and they have those rituals.

My guess is with how big the song was and it was a mega hit song that kept selling after word got out to the general public he was gay, the music industry thought they found their first openly gay rapper who was going to be accepted by the black community and everyone. There aren't any mega big black gay rappers. Not even mega big gay singers. There those we recognize their name (Frank Ocean for example) but none that are A list.

They pushed him into it. He doesn't (and can't) make his own marketing decisions. What ever you see, the ones with his contract are pushing him to do it. He wanted to be a rapper who just happened to be gay and the music label made him a gay man who happened to be a rapper, if that makes sense.

I am guessing if you look at his contract, they own him. They completely own him and its sad. I think he is being used completely. And who's telling what weirdo sh*t they had him do in private. I think they made him participate in all kinds of the ritualistic stuff we keep hearing hints about.

He will be used and discarded. One last thing that he proves about the music industry and that is it is completely rigged. When his album came out, they had it near or at the top of the charts. Who is his base? I would love to know. Gays? Gays like all kinds of stuff. I worked with and knew gay dudes and they are mostly in to alternative music or a variety of all kinds of music. They feel no obligation (from the few I know) to buy or support him. They wish him well, but aren't stomping for him either. There aren't enough gay people to make him number one or top 5. Is it white people? Which ones. White fans of rap almost entirely only support rap that the black masses like. And black people aren't f*cking with Lil Nas X.

And I would defy anyone find any person, even if you asked 100 gay men, if they got his iTunes or whatever. The industry finessed the f*ck out of his numbers. I hear he had like 70 million views on Youtube and I personally went into the comments and it was 'bot' convention. The same wording re-arranged. Any negative comment (and I got mine in...haha) was immediately responded to with a bot message. It was all the same. When I asked specifically 'Who is buying this? Who is base' The response was almost some form of 'I bought it' or 'I liked it'.

Has he even headlined a concert? First of all, how the hell you got an album so long out and ain't toured yet?

    This is his tour dates.
No headlining, no arenas where he's headlining and an opening band, they bought his way into Lollopalooza type concerts, music festivals, where there are many, many acts and he's snuck up in there in the middle. How are you supposedly a Billboard mega selling artist and you ain't even headlining medium size arenas?
    Corona, NY
    Napa, CA
    Manchester, TN
    Gulf Shores, AL
WTF? My area of the city I grew up is literally 5 x bigger than the biggest city in the above.
...and most of the rest in other countries like Romania, Chile, Colombia , Poland WTF?

His career after Old Town Road is 100% cap.

The guy is being used, knows he's being used and it was a devil's compromise to get the bag and I actually feel a certain amount of pity as a fellow black man but he should know better and accepted it so it on him.

Hollywood is a giant clown show. You need to say and do things to stand out. Standing out more = more money. Just look at that Sam Smith dude. He never used to look, act, and sound like he does now and he ain't even gay. My gay-dar goes off every time I hear that man speak. They all behave weird. I think the entire industry has become one giant fetish show.

Look how they even have Lizzo out here making a spectacle of herself when she has enough talent to not have to resort to such cheap gimmicks (like wearing completely ill-fitting and see-through outfits, doing everything to normalize and be happy about obesity and being the proud posterchild of "fighting against fatphobia and fatshaming", twerking in public with almost nothing to cover her behind like how she did at that NBA game).

If anyone criticizes Lizzo about her embarrassing herself, we are accused of fatphobia and fatshaming.

If anyone criticizes Sam Smith and Lil Nas X about their optical terrorism like pretending to be pregnant, Sam Smith wearing horribly ill-fitting outfits, Lil Nas X making problematic sexual videos about Black men being buckbroken in prison, doing in your face whoredom and their promotion of Satanism, we are accused of homophobia.
