she had me up until she said podcastes of color...
I agree. I know she and others are looking for an alliance (when there is no real alliance), but black public figures need to more unapologetic with their blackness and just focus on black interests and grievances like the Asians, Latinos etc only focus on their groups and their grievances. Outside of that, I completely stand with her on this.
The media and company have been focused on the COVID misinformation, but no one cares about anti-black racist propaganda and misinformation that continues to spread and heat up. If Hoe Hogan was using slurs about LGBTQ, Jewish, etc, would he get deplatformed, or just PewDiePie'd (allowed to stay with some occasional pushback due to his white privilege)?
Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg, Nick Cannon, Da Baby, Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle, and other black people have gone through worse and are still being made examples out of for a lot more minor things in comparison. Jay-Z and LeBron were dragged by the Joowish merely for suggesting we should model ourselves after them economically and as a collective.
Glad you posted this, because I was about to post the "resolution" *rolls eyes*
View: https://twitter.com/PopCrave/status/1489953221997178880?t=rx1P3H3DUp73jkqmZHwQ1g&s=19 A couple things: for one, why is the punishment for racism towards black people much lighter than the punishment towards others? Dude gets a slap on the wrist practically compared to a Whoopi Goldberg who's more tenured by a longshot and talented as well.
Also as a QT said: Spotify was definitely aware of these episodes even before they signed him, so why now? And of course they won't let Rogan go because of he goes, that audience goes. It's like you can't win.
I heard about him apologizing for something. I thought it had to do with the COVID non-sense. Damn. This man buried himself. I never felt one way or another for Joe but this basically put him in the anti-black narrative pile of overly privileged white dudes who take advantage of their platform to further knock blacks in America down. The only reason he isn't getting removed is that Spotify cares more about money than stopping racism. Both should be canceled, respectively.
These racist and anti-black audiences have the global market on lock and they unfortunately make up the majority of our populace and have the most wealth and disposable income to spend on concerts and entertainment, education, real estate, politicians, power, businesses, restaurants, etc. White supremacy everywhere. Their pockets and prevalence dictate to everyone that black people shall remain at the bottom by all means or else...which is another reason why reparations are absolutely necessary (for the emancipation from this system for our survival, and to both stop and write the American / global sins against FBA black people).
Between them, bed bugs and roaches, I'm not sure which pest is better as they are a distinction without a difference. That's why condescending cacs can fuck all the way off with that sToP gEneRaliZating WHites nonsense as they are also part of the problem.
I would not be surprised if Spotify is full of racist, anti-black employees. Reminds me of that episode of Atlanta in season 2 Robbin season where after paperboy got robbed by his plug, he and his friends went inside a knockoff Spotify-esque company's building to promote their work. They bumped into a chance the rapper clone and discuss the discomfort, aversion to black people, racism, and weirdness of the whites at the company. They all experienced racism, fake love and indifference, microaggressions, and subtle not so subtle unwelcomeness there. I wonder if Mr. Glover was giving us a clue with that episode....
The Spotify CEO seems like the kind to not just support Joe Rogan, Ben Shapiro, etc behind closed doors, but completely believe in and share their ideologies. Same with spez of reddit and the other covert racists. No matter if it's Deezer, Spotify, Tidal, etc, you always see these lily white and buffer class companies promoting Fox news, oan, newsmax, and other anti-black media and principles.
They all believe in and support these fucking untalented hack leeches like the Hoe Hogans and nem at the expense of talented people who are mainly black and grossly underpay.
With the like of the Hoe Hogans, Whorin Petersons, Russell OffBrands, and sxephils, all they know how to do is be personable, racist, outspoken, self-important, overly opinionated cunts who casually babble their asses off about random shit as if they were Vince Vaughn or some more racist version of Seth Rogan inside a stoner comedy film. That's it. No different than a Alex Jones or a Donald Trump.
Untalented, mediocre, exploitative white leeches are wrongfully worth millions if not billions in this society. All they have to do is be uphold white supremacy, rip off ideas and people, and be able to appeal to white and buffer (and even black) societies and they're all set.
Also, I'm not sure if anyone caught or noticed this, but can we talk about how the Hollywood Unlocked IG post's text has the word "problematic" in quotes as if Hoe Hogan's "problematic language around race" is not a very real fucking thing? As if this is hearsay or an allegation at best?! The Hoe dropped the n-word countless things on many podcasts. They posted the proof and videos. So why continue to question black people's valid grievances? What a slick, condescending way to imply that the anti-black racism and n-word is not really problematic. They can really fuck off. They would never pull this kind of shit with non-black groups or LGBT.
