I am someone who has always wanted to have kids and a big family in general. I am hoping for a child one day with my girlfriend. Her and I have talked about it, and it's something we may consider down the road. We're still young, so I figure it's pointless to rush things right now. Anyway, during our conversations about having kids, we talked about adoption. Would you ever consider adoption? I think it's kinda great to give a kid a chance at a home.

I doubt we ever will adopt, but that's okay. What about you guys? Would you ever adopt or foster a child?

If I ever got to a point in my life where I could, I would consider it. A lot of kids in the system deserve good homes so it's a great thing to do if it works for your family.
I have an aunt and uncle who did it, and initially regretted it. It was a mentally disturbed boy who was 8 years old. They gave him back to the system and adopted a different boy. This new boy was born to a mother who was a crack head. They raised him, and about 10 years later, he is one of the highest achieving boys in an almost all White school district. I just hope they don't cheat him out of the valedictorian spot when he graduates in several more years (assuming he ends up with the highest average).
