Curious about this. My local Walmart has had some pretty bare shelves the last few weeks. One thing in particular that has been almost entirely out of stock for over a month now is cat food (canned ones). I looked at the soda section and they had maybe 10% of what they normally have. The meat selection was minimal. A lot of staples were gone - rice, pasta, cheap canned goods, etc.

I would like to think this is down to hoarding but given the issues with the supply chain, I think this is just down to them not having enough people to deliver to all the stores. I want to know if anyone else is seeing bare shelves at their local Walmarts. It is a bit concerning seeing it for weeks.

I haven't been in a Walmart for about 20 years, honestly I don't go into too many places like grocery stores or malls, occasionally a restaurant. I have noticed though that prices on things keep changing for the worse.
Amazon is always out of something or not in stock.. I think 2020 was a warm up for something worse.
    Stock up on essentials.

Nah I’m a Target dude, Walmart is trash. I went in there on a whim last week to pick up some stuff and the shelves looked well stocked. Typical bad service though.
I noticed that. The service sucks and it doesn't matter where you go. Everyone they hire, even the managers, look miserable to be there and you can tell they don't want to do jack for anyone.

I order now and also stay out of stores. Just too dangerous in more ways than one

I get delivery now as it's just better that way I haven't been to Walmart in a while

I mostly did online orders myself but they started messing them up. I ended up shopping at Target more online. I used to shop with Walmart online once a month but they kept getting my orders wrong or they were sending me broke stuff so I got fed up with the inconveniences. I am noticing the prices going up in-store as well. Considering a local grocery store that typically has higher-priced items were cheaper my last shop, I likely won't be going here much at all anymore.
