It's true though, when you see our fam still eating chitlings, hog mog, fried steak with gravy all over it, you can see it first hand.
...and think, this kind of madness is in everything we eat and wonder why cancer rates keep increasing. You're smelling polluted, eating food with toxins, and drinking water that sits in a plastic container. We abuse our bodies...and then when you add in sedentary lifestyles you can see how many people's bodies just fail. Heart be like:Processed foods and the whole gambit. Just last weekend I just got through telling someone about vanilla flavoring and scents are extracted from beaver butts. So, if you don't have vanilla leaf($13 for a itty-bitty strip of organic plant); you eating taste-like-vanilla-beaver-butt in your Banana Pudding..
No thanks!!
at the bold. I remember as a child hearing that Ocean Spray juice got it's flavoring from flies. It may have just been a rumor but it stuck with me since. You never know what you're ingesting nowadays. You'll see a juice that says "made with 2% fruit juice" and it's like ok what the heck is the other 98%?Processed foods and the whole gambit. We didn't step away from the farm, the farm was taken from us.Right, all kinds of foods made with questionable sources. I really wish we didn't step away from our farm lives. Cash/money is a concept surrounding material gain, but health is irreplaceable value
Could you elaborate on that please? I'm trying to understand where you're coming from.In technicality.... No we didn't just walk away. We are political prisoners..
I need to get my diet in check, I eat fast food way too much. One moment I eat clean, get bored, then I’m at Taco Bell.Processed foods and the whole gambit. Very well said and I totally concur. We're trying to build a house on quicksand and every once awhile we'll get a structure erect but the sand shifts. It's not our capabilities that are the issue, it's the state of not being able to build on solid ground that is.I say political prisoners because we are entrapped in a socioeconomic paradigm, that will not allow us access to capitalize in any industry except for entertainment and religion. We've made small strides here and there and have had our "first African-American" in all industries, but nothing we have been allowed to begin to build or embellish. The best of that was Madam C.J. Walker and I really don't know what happened to her products, nor the politics behind it not being a standing brand today. Especially considering that black hair products alone, is a billion dollar industry! Is it a Marcus Garvey situation, a Bobby Hemmitt or the typical familial discord... When considering our circumstances now and throughout, it is not because we are inherently victims to misunderstanding the dynamics of capital, enterprise or technology.
I think we should take note from the NAACP. Invest in a Hispanic or middle eastern political front to carry our legitimate agendas thru, while inadvertently marginalizing their political passions..Very well said and I totally concur.
