How many of you know about the benign neglect policy?

Who wrote it? When it was implemented?
Why it was implemented? How has that policy played out?
How does that policy affect black people now? How do we see that policy in current politics?
Are you asking because you don't know?

I'm fully aware of it and I've written about it extensively. It's a political policy that has been in effect for decades written by Daniel Patrick Moynihan in 1970. A series of anti-Black policies came out between 1970 and 1973. These carefully crafted trash ass policies was the beginning of the end for forward progress for Black people.. Benigh neglect is the very reason both political parties ignore Black demands and why they disrespectfully give to every other non-White group except us.

This policy is why the anti-Black VP could comfortably say she wasn't doing shit for just Black people. Benign neglect is codified in American political system. No one says it, the just ignore the hell out of us, especially Democrats.

The most genius thing about it is how they got negros to go right along with it. I can't believe we fell for so much I hope I'm not clowning the previous gens because of retrospect. I just find it hard to believe how they could have been so short sighted.

Shortsightedness is one of our shortcomings as a collective. One reason is we've been told what's best for us and given options that really weren't options at all. The illusion of choice gets us each time because we don’t take the time to analyze options proposed to us.

Along as we're dissuaded from thinking for ourselves and told what to say (i.e. stop slganizubg) they got us distracted.

I absolutely agree with you here. Lots of times when we vote we only look as far as the election that we're voting in and don't think about long-term consequences of our voting decision.

We have the tendency to vote out of fear and emotion All the Democrats have to do is chin up some issue about racism and off we go running.
