Do you keep in touch with any childhood friends?

Are you still friends with anyone from your childhood? I'm not friends with any of them which I guess is kind of sad lol Most of them I just grew a part from but I did have a pretty big falling out with my best friend in high school. I've wondered how a few of them are doing but I think it's best to leave the past in the past for the most part.

Nope.

I don’t keep in touch with any of them. I have new friends. There was one childhood friend I kept in touch with but it was always me coming to him so I just stopped reaching out.
Yeah, that's how it was for me. All of my dad's friends have been his friend since he was 10, and I don't know how he did it lol Maybe just different times. It's hard to find someone that you can grow with like that.

I know! When I see long term friendships like that I get jealous.

All the friends I had growing up either moved away, or I outgrew them. They kind of stayed the same from the age of 16 and stopped maturing. Kept doing the same old thing and making the same old mistakes. I made new friends in college and through work.

I had the same experience. A lot of my girlfriends were so drama filled that I just couldn't keep up with them. It was always "this bitch this and this bitch that" and I don't have time for that. I was raised to always elevate myself and I saw my mom and dad do it first hand and now I'm doing the same. I do not like to have the same problems year after year and so when my old friends would talk about the job they hate or their issues with their boyfriends I would think "WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO CHANGE THE SITUATION?!?!?" I don't want to pollute my brain with problems that you refuse to fix.

Nah. I was one of the few that actually made it out. The crack and meth epidemic hit everyone around me hard, sum of my best homies are strung out under an overpass. Some of the most flyest dudes in high school straight zombie status. I see them and hit them with the Hova:

For sure. Drama queens. I don't have time for them. I have to focus on getting my life on order and productive. Constantly getting involved in other people's drama and problems is so draining too. If you want to keep on the path, you do you but some of us got places to go!

Most of my friendships are between 15-20 years long. Granted, I don’t talk to some of them as much as I used to but we still keep in touch and check in every few months. We’ve known each other since grade school or college. My longest friendship goes back about 25 years. People change and sometimes there are shifts because someone moves, has children, etc, but I haven’t had a falling out with any of them. Plus we give each other room to grow.

Amen. That small low vibrational talk no longer interests me, I automatically tune out now.

Wow. You must be a good friend, and your friends must be good to you for friendships to last that long.

Drugs are escapism. I stopped smoking and drinking when I realized that this is what the powers that be want. They want people to be narcatized.

You are a woman who wants change in her life. If you are disciplined, you will achieve it.

All the people I considered my friends when I was younger are still either poor, lower middle class or middle class. None of them are upper middle class, rich or wealthy. I had to get away from folks when I started elevating in high school.

I've definitely left the past in the past. The reason is I don't want them creeping back into my life with ill intentions.
