Did you ever notice how compliments are taken differently depending on how the person looks? What I mean by this is that a very attractive, well-dressed man can give any woman a compliment and it will always be taken well whereas coming from someone who is not very attractive, not dressed well will be viewed as creepy or offputting. I think it is different for men in that any woman can pay them a compliment and the majority take it very well. I have been thinking about this and I am trying to figure out why these reactions are vastly different. People like to say it is men who take looks more seriously but I honestly think women do. Am I wrong?

Yes, that's why this new era of women on the internet shaming men for staring and approaching is largely hogwash cuz if the right dude is staring and approaches she gonna smile and give him the number. This makes what is and isn't acceptable ambiguous because "hello, you look stunning" can be received positively or negatively based on the woman's level of attraction to you.

There has been quite a few tests on Tinder with attractive men saying weird stuff to women and some of the women are unbothered:

This dude was sending these women weirdo messages and the women were going for it:

I think this is because women are more aesthetics driven than men. That's why y'all have a 100 different types of bras, panties, tops, etc because you're visual beings. Men are utilitarian and so a compliment is seen just as that, a compliment and we internalize it the same way no who it comes from.

This reminds me of this sick thing I heard about recently. There was a group of people on Reddit making fake profiles on Tinder. They would use very attractive men in the pictures and their bios would be disturbing and disgusting. Talking about abusing children sexually and stuff and the number of women contacting them and completely ignoring this... Modern women are losing the plot man!

I used to think it was men who cared about looks and appearance but it seems it has become a status symbol for women to have a trophy boyfriend or husband any more. Doesn't matter what he does so long as he looks good and has money.

This reminds me of this sick thing I heard about recently. There was a group of people on Reddit making fake profiles on Tinder. Talking about abusing children sexually and stuff and the number of women contacting them and completely ignoring this... Modern women are losing the plot man!
