Tariq really has led a storied life. I was in college and didn't own a TV so a lot of these MTV shows and macking books were not on my radar. I recently ran across the Conan O' Brien video with Tariq, but this was pretty good too. Call him what you want, hustler, pimp, race hustler, race baiter, race pimp, etc. but dude is hilarious. I find myself disagreeing with him more and more on the micro-level, but on teh macro-level, dude has been pretty thorough. I do think his legacy will be on the line with the museum. I think it will get done, but it just may not be where he originially said it would.

you can't live in L.A. and not have at least a lil hustle. but thinking of all the projects he has done is crazy. I didn't start following him til like 2016, and didn't realize he did those crispy puppet videos. some of them shits are hilarious.

I basically see him as a business man and a hustler and I will only say that around Black people. Outside of that I keep it on code and don't speak ill of him. I just feel that if the money stopped coming in he'd switch to another hustle and drop the Black Empowerment stuff.

I feel you but I think him making the Hidden Colors DVD showed that there was some sincerity there. I don't remember there being a huge lane when the Hidden Colors DVD came out so it couldn't have been a pure profit motivator.

Although he has many knowledgeable opinions, I only see him as an opportunist.
I've looked at him differently since he said "If George Floyd has some Ogun Juice, he'd probably still be alive".

Yes, he did. He was promoting a package deal then. Ogun Juice, Ogun socks & a tee shirt or baseball cap. His Ogun Pepper Spray had just came out.
