It was one of my first PC games so I still play it. I only buy the packs and whatnot when they are on sale though. Not paying full price!

I noticed over the last 5 or so years, that they really are going HEAVY with this alphabet nonsense, so much so that they have all sorts of pride flags in the game and the latest update added "prepared pronouns". Like for real?

The sims games have always allowed you to do whatever (two dudes, two women, alien and person, dudes having babies, etc) but they are pushing this stuff to the front of the game and I am not a fan.

I haven't played in a while but I wanted to play around with the round walls they recently added. I mainly like to build. I don't really play with the sims themselves. It just seems like this game is becoming some sort of white woke pat on the back celebration.

The only sims game I enjoyed is the Sims 2, not because of the inclusive stuff they've added to the Sims 4 but how the game plays. As far as I'm aware, the Sims 2 is the only Sims title you get to fully control a sim rather than telling them to go do this, go there, etc. Plus Professor Feathers is only in the console versions of The Sims 2 and it's a hen you can have your sims play against, and if they beat her you get a golden egg. :V

I think Sims 1 allowed full control as well. I liked Sims 3 the most cause you had the color wheel. I have always preferred to play the game and enjoy the aspect of building houses and other buildings so for me, having the option to make everything match was top-notch. Now they want people paying for everything in the Sims 4. I read somewhere that all the content out now at full price is close to $1000!

Used to play it a lot some years ago, even made videos. Based on what you've said here, doesn't look like I'm going back anytime soon unless I just wanna build.
I feel you on that. I like to build and I think the reason I don't bother playing the game with the sims themselves is before they went too far with the alphabet stuff and ruined it for me. I am hoping to tone this down in SIms 5 but I doubt they will.

I have stopped playing The Sims for a while now. It's not that it's not a good simulation game but I have got my hands full with so many to play. I played Stardew Valley which is something related to it not too long ago. I will revisit The Sims whenever I can in the future.
Stardew Valley is a good game but I lost interest in it after a while. I really should go back and play it again. I never completed everything. I kind of got stuck in those more advanced caves.
