So they are citing global inflation as the reason for the price hikes in the article, while indicating they won't be doing so here in the States. However, it's only a matter of time before all that changes....this will be an interesting next couple of months.

The good thing is that it’ll make the consoles easier to attain. Hopefully it tapers demand to the point that they’re more ready available. It’ll probably also kill the Black market.

This is just going to fuel even more scalpers.

What a mess. Yeah, I get it... The economies of the world are having trouble and manufacturing is still taking a hit from the covid lockdowns but if this doesn't settle soon, things will just keep going up and up. I would imagine by the time the next-gen consoles drop, we are looking at needing to spend $900+ on the console and probably $100 a pop on games.

They said they supposed to make a ps5 pro and lite like the ps4 but it's a rumor. i actually had to buy a ps5 this monday but i didnt have the money and i did want extra debt for a overpowered ps4 at the moment the ps exclusive are coming to steam and epic

They won't drop the Pro or the Lite until the regular console sales slow a bit. We probably about 4 years out from that joint.

This is going to make it harder for those outside the US to get a PS5. I can see this benefiting the scalpers more. It wouldn't surprise me if Sony ends up eventually doing this for US consumers too in the future. I'm lucky I got mine last year, for retail price too.
