I'm about 7 blocks from the street they show in this clip, my area before these invaders came, you could be in my neighborhood for days and days and never see a white person, they would never come to North or N.E. Portland most of the blacks in the 30's and 40's( in Oregon) were pretty much forced into these areas, we stayed and built huge communities. in the early 80's my dad peeped what was going on and told me "white people want this area back, and they'll get it" he told me that when he seen our childhood barber shop sold and turned into a coffee shop. 30+ years later his prediction came true, now in Portland Black People are less than 1% of the population.

I hate driving around my neighborhood, everything I remember growing up is gone. it's like the memory of my city has been erased.

Man they are taking over my hometown of Long Beach like it ain’t no joke. I remember about 15 years ago I was downtown in one of the rougher areas and I saw a white dude with Capri’s, a man bun, and a Yorkshire Terrier…I was like “ohhhhh shit, if he feels comfortable down here, then the Whole Foods is next”. By 2020 they had basically made it unaffordable to live downtown if you’re not making 6 figures. You can live on the outskirts of downtown but in the hustle and bustle where the White people want to build an enclave, you at like $2k for a single. It’s economic violence…

yes they pretty much priced out everyone here, just about all the businesses were black owned but could never get loans to upgrade or maintain the property, so they either got kicked for building violations or just couldn't make enough to keep everything up to code. when developers started to buy up all of the houses they remodeled them or tore them down to make townhouses and only rent or sale to white people... I get sick to my stomach every time I ride and see my once all black neighborhood Lilly white!

...and have the nerve to be looking at you with hostility as if you're the one out of place.
