Since COVID-19 hit in 2020, a lot of people became regular online shoppers. I have been online shopping for most things (outside of groceries and things like that) since like 2010. I love it. It is convenient, easy, and more often than not I can find better deals online. I noticed though in the last few years, especially since last year, I am running into more and more issues. My packages go missing, I get sent the wrong items, items arrive broke, orders get canceled... I can go on and on. It can be a real hot mess ordering online sometimes.
What are some bad shopping experiences you have had with online shopping? Feel free to put the store on blast for it. mjlol

Yeah, I feel like things are pretty bad right now with online shopping. A lot of my experiences aren't necessarily because of the store though, it's usually in who's doing the delivering. I've had FedEx mess up several of my deliveries, so I started having important stuff sent to a friend's house because she never has issues. lol

I think a lot happens too because you never know where you're buying from. I've seen a few cute things at a reasonable price, and when I dug into the website, it's one of those cheap places from China.

I haven't had as many issues as you, but I have had orders that come in wrong. Especially with Amazon. Also, Amazon seems to take forever to ship anything, even if you choose faster shipping. Idk if it's just me, but it feels like it's happening every time I buy on Amazon. Honestly, I am kind of tired of Amazon. I feel like it's becoming worse, almost like it's becoming a Wish 2.0

I have had issues with damaged stuff coming in, but rarely do I deal with packages missing or being stolen. I did lose a package once, or it never arrived and UPS claimed it as lost. At least the site reimbursed me, but I think someone from UPS stole it. At the time it was an Xbox One X, so I was pretty pissed when it didn't come in.

Amazon is getting worse and worse it seems. I mean I pay for Prime and the last 3 or 4 orders I did on there, that 2-day delivery was a joke. It was more like a 5 or 6-day delivery. One of the many reasons I am getting rid of it at the end of the year.

I have had only one bad experience. I ONLY shop with Amazon because of their return policy. Once, I ordered from Walmart about a year ago.

My one bad experience was a server case that had a bent frame.
The trick with Walmart, Target and places like that is to complain right away. A friend taught me that. I swear she isn't a Karen irl but she is one online when it comes to shopping lol

If the site has a chat, you tell them the issue and 9 times out of 10, you will get a refund or a replacement.

Thanks for the tip. I might use them for the holidays.
