Listening to it with wifey right now. Gotta say despite slight disagreements brother was on point and on code. He shutdown a lot of misconceptions. On the topic of addressing coons he was spot on.Dr. Umar always brings his A game when he's on The Breakfast Club.
The substance of what he said is in line with Powernomics. We should own and control everything we have contributed to this society.Listen to this earlier this morning. He does Does show what a good mouth piece can do.
His reparations talk is complete fantasy but the way he says it gets people excited.
??? I mean, that could be said about him, Marcel, the reparations taskforce. what's not fantasy to you?Listen to this earlier this morning. He does Does show what a good mouth piece can do.

A couple of dollars and free school is not reparations.Getting ports is fantasy. That's how the country makes its money. They would kill us all before giving us that.
A couple dollars and free school is the most we can probably hope for.
I always, always, always hit black Republicans with this. If you notice, both the Dems and GOP talk jobs, jobs, jobs. The substance of what he said is in line with Powernomics. We should own and control everything we have contributed to this society.
Normally I would agree but I feel this was one of his best interviews because he did not make it about his ego. He had concrete facts to present when it came to his school. When it came to reparations and getting what's owed to us as well as with the Deion conversation Umar was spot on!!I think his ego can be a problem at times. King Kong Consciousness does not seem to allow for challenges to his point of view or persons with equally persuasive arguments. This is the root of all this tribalism that keeps black people divided everywhere are. White supremacy uses this against us with such devastating effect.
I plan to complete watching the interview. I struggle with the breakfast club...I find Charlemagne's occasional 👞👅 offensive. Watching him diss Dr. Welsing in front of some white boy for a pat on the head was absolutelyNormally I would agree but I feel this was one of his best interviews because he did not make it about his ego. Umar was on his ass good convo though.I plan to complete watching the interview. I struggle with the breakfast club...I find Charlemagne's occasional 👞👅 offensive. Watching him diss Dr. Welsing in front of some white boy for a pat on the head was absolutely
painful for me.
👍Umar was on his ass good convo though.
Can be? lol...its the reason. Self titled 'Prince of Pan-Africanism' unfortunately puts his ego ahead of the work.I think his ego can be a problem at times. King Kong Consciousness does not seem to allow for challenges to his point of view or persons with equally persuasive arguments.
he was wayyyyyyy off base on the Deion takei thoroughly enjoyed the interview. Dr. Umar was loud and wrong about Deion though. Everything else, I respect his viewpoint. It was a palette cleanser from the awful interview they did with the CEO of the ADL.
That’s basically a problem with 99% of the biggest influencers in the new black media if we keeping it real. But it shouldn’t deter the Black community if we are having a true awakening and not simply trading pastors for YouTube personalities.I think his ego can be a problem at times. King Kong Consciousness does not seem to allow for challenges to his point of view or persons with equally persuasive arguments. This is the root of all this tribalism that keeps black people divided everywhere are. White supremacy uses this against us with such devastating effect.
Great point and when CTG’s bitch ass asked Umar if he donated I was confused. Like didn’t this nigga day he was making his own schools? Why is the HBCU such a sacred cow? People really get offended if you criticize the HBCU's, and its usually the same people who think the NAACP works for Black people.
Great ideas! Real Black communities buying from our own, producing products and supporting one another would allow us to also sponsor our own future lawyers and doctors.I always, always, always hit black Republicans with this. If you notice, both the Dems and GOP talk jobs, jobs, jobs.
I always, always, always ask white and black conservatives and white liberals this. Sicilians, Chinese, Jews, Koreans faced discrimination at one point, yes or no? Obviously a yes.
What has worked for them is to set up their own parallel economy that has given America, Chinatowns all over country. Little Italies in NY, Philly, Chicago, Boston (north End). Koreatown in LA. Jewish enclaves in Brooklyn, west LA, etc.
So, since this has been proven to help a discriminated group out of poverty then why isn't that pushed as the formula for Blacks? Those areas have THEIR OWN BUSINESSES. It wasn't jobs that got them out but their own businesses and economy.
But with Blacks is you are 'self segregating', And these other groups didn't in order to get out? Wasn't the most successful black areas: Tulsa, Durham, Rosewood, the same as the Chinatowns, Little Italies? So, it worked for Blacks before and the only difference is if its done these days you can't go in and bomb them out.
Why isn't this being pushed I ask them and they don't want to answer it. Also, these other groups were left alone to prosper. Black areas were targeted. Black conservatives like Larry Elder know this and the truth is he wants us to fail. He hates us. So does Thomas Sowell. Their only way they want Blacks is to be like them and they believe the way to survival is to bootlick, accept white supremacy in full and that whites will let us be out of poverty if we accept full 2nd class citizenship gladly. That's the truth of it all. We must give up our identity and adopt theirs just like how ethnic Greeks, Slavs, Sicilians, etc, gave up their identity generations later and adopted full white anglo saxon culture.
As for Dr. Umar, even Tariq has said he's the best speaker and those two aren't sending xmas cards to each other.
As an aside, what I would like to see EVERY HBCU do is set up a parallel primary or HS next to it. Next to the larger mosques and synagogues are their own primary schools. They make sure their kids have a solid foundation in their culture so they will be more loyal to it than America.
We should be doing the same with a HS or primary school. The students majoring in education can be the assistant teachers and get state certification by the time time they graduate.
It wouldn't take much. Make it black kids only and take kids from the surrounding community. The most disenfranchised. Give them structure. And I would make sure that there are plenty of BLACK MEN teaching. 80% of these kids grow up with no father in the home or any responsible black male. Give them that early on so the boys will want to be like him and the girls will want to marry someone like him. We also get rid of a lot of future Pookies and Ray Rays.
Give tuition discounts if you teach in that school. If you are majoring in math or business, teach math. If you are majoring in pretty much anything you can teach 2nd graders really. But push for the education majors.
No disrespect, but what do you mean by tribalism? We’re too individualistic to be tribal! That’s the problem. Only tribes look out for themselves like other ethnic groups do.I think his ego can be a problem at times. King Kong Consciousness does not seem to allow for challenges to his point of view or persons with equally persuasive arguments. This is the root of all this tribalism that keeps black people divided everywhere are. White supremacy uses this against us with such devastating effect.
CTG was low key caring for white supremacy throughout the whole interview. It was nice to see Umar staying in code.Great point and when CTG’s bitch ass asked Umar if he donated I was confused. Like didn’t this nigga day he was making his own schools?
Yee's no longer on The Breakfast Club.Side note, Angela Yee makes herself scarce when Dr. Umar is being interviewed. Not sure whats up with that, it smells funny.
She is no longer on the show. She left to pursue her own show but your point stands. She is never in serious conversations.Side note, Angela Yee makes herself scarce when Dr. Umar is being interviewed. Not sure whats up with that, it smells funny.

Umar's argument that we have deep psychological trauma that needs to be addressed is on point. Many of us still think like slaves so the simple act of NOT supporting Asian businesses and supporting our own seems impossible at the moment. We, therefore have to get the money now while putting in place strategic training to essentially " rewire" our thinking. We can not give them any reason to delay. Imagine if he ( Umar) and other members of the new black media ( Tariq Nasheed) were all on the same page. Thus my original point about ego. Another slave mentality issue that divides us. It happened with Martin and Malcolm. Both were assassinated exhibiting a clear example of white supremacies focused agenda when it comes to us.Standing applause at this whole post but the red is absolute facts. It's why I don't take issue with Umar's saying that we need to rebuild our communities and cash isn't going to be the end all be all to get that accomplished. We need a comprehensive program that helps us rebuild our communities via grants, free land, and free education, IN ADDITION to cash payments to help turn this ship around. Do I think it's impossible without reparations? No. But the bum, clown, degenerate contingent in our society will have to get on code and that is a huge ask.
How can we make sound decisions if we cannot question one another? If the cash is the right answer then its proponents should be able to easy show the error in his argument. At the end of the day we all have the same goal which is being repaired but some are saying CASH and others are saying CASH AND PROGRAMS. The best ideas need to rise to the top. We can't keep on this pastor treadmill that we have been on. We need to be able to hear everyone and determine the merits in their arguments. If we put the pressure on the establishment and we could can get cash or cash + programs why not get the cash + programs? We need to be fully rebuilt and it needs to be a New Deal type of plan we ask for.Umar's argument that we have deep psychological trauma that needs to be addressed is on point. We have to get away from the either or mentality. True power is having options. Both arguments have merit. One would spend large amounts to create institutions but on th other hand the government owes us a repair in the area of institutions as well as ownership of created material. We need both but either way we have to be ready to move in earnest whichever way the cookie crumbles.Umar's argument that we have deep psychological trauma that needs to be addressed is on point. The " questioning" is happening...this is it. This dialog. Iron sharpens Iron. We are hearing one another, though it sometimes sounds like noise. Umar's point on music management for example is an excellent one. It is my prayer that the ancestors will allow this dialog to keep going to a crescendo that brings the best solution needed to repair the damaged and broken "us". Be reminded, however, considering our great history and the capacity of the big black brain. White supremacy has no intention to facilitate our recovery. I hope that these discussions will galvanize us to a codified reality like that exhibited by the Chinese. When that happens the money for the not-acceptable stuff will begin to materialize. The destruction of Bill Cosby and more recently Ye is why the super-rich is afraid. In the words of the late Nipsy Hussle, this is a marathon, not a sprint. So I stay in my child's ear and the grandchild is always the discussion. How can we make sound decisions if we cannot question one another? I definitely agree that it will take more because reparations only deals with a few of the crimes. It deals with the labor and discrimination but it doesn't deal with the psychological damage or the attack against our humanity in the way that Jews are compensated each year for the crimes against theirs. However it is something that we should definitely fight for and I don't agree with what he said previously about us being "mentally ill" as a reason why we shouldn't get them because that hasn't been a factor.Dr. Umar always brings his A game when he's on The Breakfast Club.
I agree, Umar's heart is in the right place and it isn't unusual to have a different opinion but I think where people miss the point is that both were actively trying to improve the lives of their people. I have a problem with how WS tried to categorize Booker T Washington and DuBois as a "beef" when he was present when they established the NAACP. Even MLK and Malcom X had come to see eye to eye on many issues but the media plays on comments made when they were still young but doesn't talk about their reconciliation and the evidence is found in MLK's speech "Coming over the mountaintop" where his message to our people was very similar to what Malcolm X had been preaching all along but white academia doesn't show us that. That's because they would rather divide us by the 5% of our differences when the 95% should keep us together.Dr. Umar's heart is in the right place. There were always divergent camps in the fight for justice and equality for us: DuBois v Garvey; Malcolm X v MLJ Jr, Jesse Jackson Jr v Farrakhan in Chicago to some extent.
Dr. Umar has a different vision. In his world, Pan Africanism as it is now, wouldn't change on our side. That's one different view as an example. Monogamy would likely be allowed as well which may not be a bad thing to some of y'all brothers quietly. haha
