First fully automated McDonald's opens in Texas
Are you guys looking forward to seeing more fully automated businesses? Why or why not?
If they don’t provide UBI by time they roll these out across the nation it will spark the revolution.
They're going to have to do something like UBI if every job out there becomes automated. We'll have more maintenance and tech jobs, which is nice, but it's also taking away a lot of service jobs.
More stores, & restaurants will start to do this. It's bad when we already have vending machines where you can buy hot food already packaged and ready to go.
Not looking forward to it, because it'll force millions of people out of work. Crime will rise expeditiously.
Completely remove the staff. Maybe one person to ensure automation runs properly and to change supplies. That is the future. I need to own one once they work out all of the kinks.
Love how people asking for decent pay is considered bad.

Well, first of all, someone has to make the machines, as well as maintain them for any issues and there are always an issue, someone has to write the software.
That's where the jobs will be. Tech, engineering, etc.
Okay, not everyone has the requisite skills for it, then the move is to learn skills that are needed in society. We have been leaving the service economy ongoing for years. Banks would love to do away with branches. In their view, why pay to buy or lease the property, pay expenses to staff it and protect it, risk bank robberies when its more cost efficient for them if people banked at ATMs an online? That's where they are headed.
The masses, especially us, are always late to the game and get caught out, all the time.

The irony is the Department of Labor is very good statistics, trends, etc, and know exactly where the jobs are headed. This information is available as well. So, why doesn't the government let the masses know? Because if the companies that are presently employing the jobs that will not be available in 10 years tell them not to. Unfortunately, our government is in bed with corporations and they will f*ck us over for the political donations to the campaigns. They are all bought and paid for.
But that doesn't mean the information isn't available. It just means you/we gotta go get the info and advise ourselves on what the future jobs and needed skills are. Finally, working for yourself should always, always, always be the first option, than push jobs first. Jobs are secondary or needed to learn the skills and get the income needed to do for self.
Do you see Hasidic Jews/Orthodox Jews with jobs? They are almost entirely entrepreneurs in some form or fashion by the hundreds if not 1000s in some areas. like NY.

This will hurt them more than us. So many podunk sh!tholes only have minimum wage jobs. Black people have come a long way in the last generation, automation isn’t hurting us as much as the boomers. Everything they do only makes us stronger and hardens our survival instincts.
It'll force more of us to summon the BLACK EXCELLENCE we're born with & get busy creating our own businesses, being the entrepreneurs we always have been!

People are still working there making the food, they just don't have to deal with customers which to me is better for everyone. I worked at a fast food place as my first job and the customers are some of the nastiest I ever dealt with.
