I was cheering for France. I knew if it came to PKs the French team would choke. Mbappe is the man. Makes a grip as well. 650k euros I think a week. That's insane. Just under another 130 mil a year in sponsorships.

Real talk? That's the only thing Argentina got going for themselves. The country is a white country that is broke AF. Football is the ONLY thing they are positively known for. They are only other known for hyper inflation, strong man dictatorships, death squads, losing a war to the UK.

And they are white, because they systemically removed Blacks in the 1800s. They have a horrid history that includes inviting former slave holders after the Civil War (along with Brazil) and being a haven for escaping Nazis.

Mbappe lived up to the hype and Messi had to separate himself to truly be the goat. Very entertaining tournament.

They're scared of that man. He lived up to the moment and they know they barely won. We have seen this before. Those who have a lack of integrity and gloat when they know damn well they almost lost.

France lost too many starters. The reserves looked shook. I was gonna be salty no matter who won. I hate Argentina, but I dislike French people just as much. And Messi isn't even the best player from Argentina....that would be maradona

France lost too many starters? As in the players who didnt make it, such as Pogba, Kante, Nkunku, Benzema, Kimpembe? I think those guys may have made a difference. They wouldnt have allowed to run the game in the way they did in the first half. There was a lot of space in the midfield at times.
I share your distaste of the Argentinians. They showed little class after the match.
