Does anyone here play ROMs via emulators? I am building up a collection of games I had from when I was a kid. My brother basically hoarded all the consoles and games as we got older and left me with nothing. I didn't care at the time but now I want to play some of the classics and I don't have the consoles for it. Not about to spend money rebuilding the collection either. So yeah, I am working on a ROM library.

i used to mess with emulators a lot a while back, i haven't been able to get back into gaming like i used to. which software do you use?

They’re so hard to find now, I haven’t been on any sites or p2p or newsgroups. I want to build a computer to run a bunch of old games. I want to play Batman on NES so badly.

I used to play a long time ago. There was a site called emulation zone, not sure if it's still operational. I don't know any ROM sites off-hand. Hope that can help you on your way a little. The nintendo emulator I used was called NESticle if you played NES games

I'm on my laptop right now but when I am on my PC I will try to remember to come back and link you to the site where I found a lot of them. I can't recall if Batman was on there or not but I wasn't looking for it.

Mostly SNES, 64 and PS1 games I think. I might get some Wii games as well but those tend to be harder to run.

I actually think I still have those emulators but the PS one was a pain in the ass to get running :/
Use to play all the DS, SNES, and GBA games back in the day which was great because you didn't need a high end PC to play em

No$gba, Visualboy advance, ZSNES. I think the N64 one was a pain in the ass as well but I don't recall

You should get a raspberry pi device and install retropi on it. It comes with all the emulators you'd want, you just need to find the roms. A lot of the sites that have roms are being removed due to copyright claims though, so it can be tough to find the right sites. Google should help you find some still around.

I have an emulator on my PC for the PlayStation so I can replay ESPN NFL 2K5 with updated graphics. Fun times! :)

I dip into that from time to time. Mainly for research purposes. I try not to steal. I would download something I have bought before. I watch movies on those free streaming sites but again not the new stuff. Just movies and shows I've seen before.

Stealing is wrong LOL. The worst part about stealing is people don't realize what it does to themselves. People always look me strange when I say this. I'm like... dude your a thief. People steal so much they don't even know the difference between right or wrong.

Get a collection going while you can. More and more crackdowns are happening with them, especially with Nintendo games. A lot of games are already hard if not impossible to find.
