These lizards got some sharp ass teeth. The parents think they got the same demeanor as dog. Reptiles by definition, don't have the same empathy such as a dog, ape, etc. They aren't capable.

I read a story once of this lady who had a huge python that wasn't eating. The vet told her, it's been starving itself and laying next to you to size you up for consumption.

I get trusting a dog or cat with training but a reptile that size around a kid??? Those things are too damn unpredictable. I wouldn't even trust a bird around my kid much less a reptile that can bite down to the bone!
