Yes even all the Greek scholars that Europeans praise said they were Black. They usually called them “burned” which is what Aethiops means but that was their term at the time from a Eurocentric perspective. Herodotus specifically said that the Kemetic people were similar to all the other “Africans” that resided around them and even the Kemetic people said that they came from further down in Africa.
I think modern historians have waved the white flag on white Kemet. They don’t downright admit they are black but generally say they were multicultural, which is an intellectually dishonest half truth. The Old Kingdom was all black, the Middle Kingdom under Mentchuhotep ii was ruled by Nubians but there was documented compromises of their border. This is also the time period most scholars believe the story of Abraham took place. The New Kingdom, coming out of being ruled by Hyksos (foreigner) was a bit more multicultural like modern day America but it was still black ruled.
Also another thing I like to bring up on your point about the Moors is that the Spanish language still uses the term Moor and uses it to refer to Black people. Many Spanish speaking countries refer to Black people as “moreno” and it ain’t by accident. They straight up call you a Moor when they see you.
