You are far more advance in pure thinking just because you can see the benefit of using open source software.

The kernel is now complete. It's a new day for Black Empowerment.

I will follow up with documentation soon.

This is a full 6Zeros OS kernel but it needs to be rebuilt for your machine. More on that later.

So, we have a vanilla kernel that's ready for production use.

• x86_64
• compiled without patches and is fully customizable
• Fully compliant with the GPLv2

Next, what do we want to build? A video game console? A Server? A workstation OS? A toaster?🙃

We have everything in red, now we have to wrap that kernel in a C Library.
We don't have to use GLibC, there are alternatives like Musl

It's literally up to the developers at this point.

I'm taking my time on compiling another kernel that will be the same as the one before except the kernel's micro API will be compiled separately. This will ensure that the user will have a controlled dialogue with the kernel and the kernel can have tighter integration to any programs that you make in the future.

A kernel is the base. I was getting the heavy lifting out of the way. After the kernel, it's wallpaper and decorations; the fun stuff.

Where would you like to start? What would you want your very own OS to have?

I am not familiar with it enough, no! I would like to get more knowledge on stuff like this but it all depends on my free time which has been minimal. The clinic keeps wanting me to work more and more...

Knoppix is still the king of live distros. We could make 6ZOS a live distro so people wouldn't have to reformat if they don't want to.😎👌
Of course, the OS would be slower if we went that route.

Yeah, it's hard to explain the many factors that a person might have to settle with by using a live distro. I already mentioned speed but large products (video creation, 3D animation, etc) are seriously not practical with a live distribution.
