I noticed when I used to watch t.v. they'll play movies like this back to back all weekend or something then call it Black Cinema.lol.

I feel the same way, especially about movies that paint us all as criminals and drug dealers. A Raisin In The Sun isn't that, though.
This movie is the story of an American family. A BLACK American family. The thing that's so great about the film is that it directly touches on a myriad of topics that relate to us:

• Manhood
• Fatherhood
• Classism
• Overt racism and racist microagressions
• Pan Africanism
• The Black family dynamic
• Black upward mobility

If you don't want to watch the movie (or stage play) because of the themes, check it out for the great acting performances.

Take a look at the Tubi app. Their Black Cinema section is either hood comedies, drug dealer movies, church movies, or romance movies where somebody is cheating on their spouse.
