The resources for these are always so janky. I remember the video of Jay speaking at the meeting in LA looked like it was recorded back in 1993.
Yeah I may not be able to get thru because I have something to get to but yesterday they discussed doing these meetings on the weekends.
The sound is really bad, TF members have on masks and we can’t hear them very well. The phone-in aspect had technical difficulties so they suspended the call-ins.
I know, I had a good queue too at 21 but it was hard to hear but I heard some good things. I resonated with the lady who had moved to CA in 1985. My Great Grandmother came here in the 40's with a similar story. From "share cropping" to my great great grandmother taking care of a white family for money. I'm just going to have to go to a meeting. Hopefully they do it on Fridays and Saturdays like they said yesterday. I do agree that there isn't enough awareness about the task force but whether or not their solution will work remains to be seen. There does appear to be some issue with Moore and Grill but I like how Moore handled herself yesterday.
The nation does not want this catching steam. The water is starting to boil over.
Yeah and we are seeing more and more task forces pop up. I just saw that Georgia had started one and a few other places. The best part is that the nation still has a debt to pay on top of what we are fighting for in the states. Every state has played some dubious role, and I would hope states like Virginia, Mississippi are hit EVEN harder for their role in enforcing Black Codes and contract leasing. One way or another they are going to pay for their wickedness.
