Any guesses as to what this hiker was doing?

Well, sadly this is a trend that has been taking lives for a good 10 or more years now. Richard Jacobson (age 21) was on the Flat Iron Trail when I guess he decided to get a picture, a selfie to be exact. He had gone off the trail to take a picture and slipped, falling to his death.

A hiker in Arizona slipped and fell hundreds of feet to his death Monday after trying to take a photo in Lost Dutchman State Park, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.

Who knew something like taking a selfie could be so dangerous? (I am pointing to myself right now cause I heard of this too damn often!)

More than 250 people worldwide died attempting to take selfies from 2011 to 2017

That's looks quite deep and if you walk without noticing you can easily fall in the crack as this looks clear in picture but could be difficult when you are actually over their.

I would not go within 50 feet of something like this. Maybe these people are bored or something? It seems like people who seek out this stuff are missing out on some sort of thrill in life. Odd that they are almost always white.

Yes and sometime people do some crazy things and lost their life. Yes indeed it can be fun to do but sometime they need to think before doing something stupid like this person did.

Yes that is another issue for sure as they are living their for long time and it's their home so it always be unlucky if we survive and found them somewhere near by you.

Those are the sandals of crazy people. I am convinced. LOL I have seen a number of white hippies wearing those and they just have that look in their eye like they'd walk up to a bear and try sharing food with it or something. Like you are just knocking on death's door at that point.
