If you're looking for Black-owned hair/beauty products, then look for the Proud Lady logo: View attachment 5775 Only actually Black-owned companies can use this logo on their products. Unfortunately, fewer companies are using the logo, because fewer hair/beauty companies are actually Black owned. Excuse my ashy hand, btw.
Ahh, thanks! Looking properly moisturized, no problem!

It's to the point that I always research any company that mentions "Black Owned", "Black Ran", etc. I want to of course make sure it's the truth, because I want it to be legit and real and secondly, I don't want to be scammed by some company that is ran by mostly white people.

Research everything you buy if you only want to support those companies that are really black owned and run. Because more people are going to list it on their sales pages, just wait. I don't think it'll be big companies, but the small unknown ones trying to capitalize on the phrase "Black owned" will gladly use it to their advantage.

Sia did the right thing by alerting the consumers. I was angry because I bought some Enzos during the quarantine because I believe in buying Black; but then I saw the exact same shoes on a Chinese site for much less.
I don't knock anybody's hustle, but I don't like to GET hustled!
Had I never discovered the Chinese site, I would've been a regular customer for Enzo Footwear.
Even he admitted to sending or getting stuff from China ... Have you seen his designs? A little on the expensive side, but these are better than Nikes, in my opinion. This Brotha is making moves in the space ... This is old news, but wanted to share:

I’m in Austin and especially wanted to order out from a BO business on MLK day. 312 pizzeria on William Cannon is listed as Black owned in several write ups.
I called the place and the employee sounded white (I know you can’t always go by that) .
I later checked Uber reviews and the reviewers were all Indian, an Indian guy was presenting the pizza in a photo. On FB everyone’s white and Indian, then I found a 2022 holiday staff photo of white folks, Indians and a light skinned Afro Carribean looking woman in a very bossy, chummy position next to the Indian/White guy.
Sooooo, Black owned legally but not culturally.

( I’ll discuss the pizza in a dinner thread. Lawd.)
