Yes I guess I'm asking if there's a distinction between American descendants of slaves and descendants of American slaves.

Because couldn't a Jamaican person say that they are an American, descendant of slaves. TBA talked about this a year or so ago. Does it matter, when it comes to reparations I mean? Or is it all just a play on word?
