Figured it would happen. Biden is now taking the option for student loan forgiveness away from those who received a perkins loan and the Federal Family Education Loans (FFEL). It is said that only 770,000 people will not qualify. And that there was well over 4 million people who either had a perkins or FFEL loan.

The reason this change happened, was because 6 republican led states put lawsuits against it. Some dumb reason about banks not getting their interest from the loans.

student loans is an easy fix. Prior to 2001, you could write off student loans if you filed a personal bankruptcy. Congress changed that in the Homeland Security Act I think.

All congress needs to do is make it so you can write it off if you file bankruptcy. That way the ones who paid it off didn't do it for nothing and if you file a BK to write it off, you have 7 years of that BK on your credit file.
