went wayyy beyond being obtuse. Every one of them just kept using the same talking points and rebuttals---just like wehn all the off code immigrants kept coming up in the twitter spaces saying we were dissing Black immigrants.

I think it's different in the sense that ADOS was created by Tone and Vette and they were trying to gatekeep it. This was different in that you had a separate group of people trying to appropriate the term B1 to fit their agenda. Then they went and argued with the creator of B1 to say why he was wrong. you don't have to agree with everything PBT TBA or Tariq says but the one thing you can't claim is that they are saying something that doesn't benefit all Black people. When I see people try to discredit either one of them, my antennas go up and I automatically suspect that person or group of being sent to dissipate the energy.
These 3 have been around long enough, and all of their paperwork has cleared.
