I think another thing that could be in play is how hopeless and lonely things can feel for Black kids.I think it's the internet. Our kids are more influenced buy cacs than we were.
They have no classic black shows to look at, now it's Mr. Beastb and other online weirdos.
I am thankful for my parents. I never grew up feeling like I wasn't good enough. Black children, especially boys, need to be guided and given a foundation for success. They need to be told it is harder to succeed because of racism but it is not impossible. If your parents aren’t giving you hope and showing you how to navigate in this changing landscape then you will not see a place for you in the future.
