Great news because Chapek was ruining Disney. He was penny pinching way too much and Disney started to lose its value. Also we saw them ruin Star Wars under his watch.
I heard that Andor was actually good that’s interesting. But I also don’t any of the new Star Wars properties other than The Force Awakens or Rogue One. Everything else to me sucks including the Mandalorian. They totally destroyed such a good villain in Kyle Ren, they ruined Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. They need to get Kathleen Kennedy out of there.I'm a huge Star Wars fan and they did a good job on The Mandalorean and a few of the movies but they started to f*ck shit up. Andor sucks.
Bit of an update, I guess they fired the dude because he was talking out against this heavy push in the direction of "woke". Like how they are making more LGBT content and pandering to people. So I expect them to keep pushing this direction where all their movies and shows preach to us about their politics, fat acceptance, etc.Disney has a lot of problems and at this point, I think it is beyond repair. The company started out with horrific racist cartoons and publications that they want the general public to just forget. They over-saturate their movies and shows with "diversity" which ends up alienating people because the characters only feel like there are in the story because of their skin color or sexual orientation. They make that the prime focus of these characters and they have no substance of depth. It feels forced and insulting to me.
I don't think it would have been an issue if the shares dropped significantly, customers increasingly unhappy with the cheapening of the Disney experience, and the constantly rising prices. Even if he was "anti-Woke" he was the typical American executive that wants to charge as much as possible but give as little as possible. He was bringing the GM/Ford/Chrysler approach to Disney and it was destroying the company. The Galactic Starcruiser hotel they opened charged about $6000 for two nights for a family of 4 or $4800 for a couple.Bit of an update, I guess they fired the dude because he was talking out against this heavy push in the direction of "woke". These white people who are in support of this crap are going to ruin everything for everyone.
Inflation isn't helping. I think it is mostly down to cost and piss poor story telling. They ruined Star Wars, they are ruining Marvel... They are making people pay heavy costs for things that aren't even worth it. It all factors in. They just need to go back to the baseline they had in the '90s and include more characters to make it diverse WITHOUT forcing it. When they force it, it shows because their entire substance is whatever skin color they have or their gender/sex identity. I don't think they is any coming back from this. Even my dad said Disney is on death's doorstep and he gives them 10 years tops before they crumble. They started out racist and have decades of racism in their bones. The peaked in the '90s. It is all downhill from here.I don't think it would have been an issue if the shares dropped significantly, customers increasingly unhappy with the cheapening of the Disney experience, and the constantly rising prices. Disney lost its way because it started to skimp on production value which was basically their entire schtick. I’ve been to Disneyland and Disney World and the rides suck ass it’s the theming and performance that takes you in. When they started cost cutting on theming/performance while raising prices they basically charged you more while giving less of what you want.Inflation isn't helping. It didn't help that they were doing all that LGBT stuff and promoting it to kids either. I get it if you are a gay parent or whatever but how many people like that go to Disney Land or World? It just seems unbalanced.Disney lost its way because it started to skimp on production value which was basically their entire schtick. On the flip side it’s like Six Flags not investing in coasters. The parks are ran like shit so if they aren’t always coming out with the newest, tallest, or fastest something why even go.
